Want to get into the Battlefield 3 Beta?

Then you have to buy the Medal of Honor Limited Edition.. If you do then they promise you'll be in the Beta within 12months.

I will probably not be jumping on this but it is nice to get some kind of time frame on a BF3 release.

Medal of Honor is already a waste of money if you own BF:BC2 (same gameplay, different guns and models), why would anyone waste EVEN MORE MONEY on the limited edition?

I dont think the limited edition costs any more. I think it's like the Bad Company 2 Collectors Edition. So it's just the people who preorder and/or buy it early. Same price just a little label on the box with some upgrades that wont be worth shit in game.

I do agree with it being a waste of money though. Too soon. I may not get to play BC2 much but I'd still rather stick to it till BF3.

I dont know that this is an indication it's going to be a port. I dont want to be naive either. Has anyone read anything confirming it will be a port?

I haven't read anything that it's going to be a console port, but chances are good that it is bc the Beta is on the console. They won't spend the time developing on PC platform and then port it to the console for a Beta. Now, if the Beta is on all platforms, then your guess is as good as mine.

If they have a truly independent Beta on PC as well as Consoles then I believe that means it was programed in general terms and then split in the later part of development to go the console and PC routes.

However if the Beta comes out on Console first then it's a console port and I seriously dislike the money printing machines we used to call game developers.

actually allot of it has to do with similar coding involved between two specific systems(360/pc)

and the engine their using (frostbite) was also designed on the consoles first because it's easier to develop for a closed system like a console, then move it over to the PC where there are tonnes of hardware variables.
