Chrono Trigger

So who here is a fan of this game? Well on TS today someone one brought up all the old greats and I remembered that there was a team of people making a Chrono Trigger re-make and I decided to check it out. The game looked like it had a lot of potential but Square (those asses) told the people working on it to stop or they would take legal action. Anyway, here is the site, it has some pictures and a trailer of the game on it.

I loved Chrono Trigger. Still to this day one of my all time faves. Never heard of this remake though. Did they really scrap it? Too bad, it would've been killer.

DAMN YOU SQUENIX, TAKING AWAY EVERYTHING I LOVED ABOUT YOU.....i swear that one day I WILL purchase the rights to Chrono Trigger and Xenogears in order to hire people like this to create games in both series that fans really want....

Yeah, Square put a scrap to it since it wasn't being made by them and they have no intention of remaking it. Everytime I watch the trailer for this remake I hate Square a little more. This could have been so incredibly awesome.

Yeah, huge fan of the series for a very long time. I still play it from time to time because it's so good that you actually can. That, and Final Fantasy Tactics, two time-less amazing works of video-game artistry. I followed the progress of that re-make all the way up until it was shit on by Square. Still feeling shitty about it.

Lol, I saw this thread and had to put my 2 cents in.

Ever since I first popped the game in it's been one of my faves, I still replay it from time to time. I've been meaning to pick up the playstation remake (I've only got the SNES version :P) But holy cow, they put sooo much into that game story-wise. It r0x'd teh s0x.

I'd have to say though, Frog > Magus :P

I used to have a little space invaders type game where it had Frog battling Magus' army at Zenan Bridge. Pretty spiffy.

Though, I never heard of the remake you're talking about. Too bad square shut it down. :(

Anyway just seein' this thread made my day. I <3 teh CT (almost as much as teh Zelda)
