zilong

Ever have that situation where you need to kill yourself quickly, but lack the proper explosives to do so? Never fear! Surely since its introduction many monthes back, people were aware of the strange ability of zilong to spontaneously die. The cause of that is the legendary technique known as the SUICIDE BUTTON. By triggering this forbidden switch, one can die instanty in a painless manner. Besides, it's just a lot neater then blowing yourself up to smithereens.
Before one can properly administer this technique, one must bind a proper key to this highly regarded maneuver. The location of the key is vital; one would not want it too close to keys that are used for vital movements like jumping, nor should one isolate to the point one must look down to see the key. It is of the utmost importance to find a easily reachable key. Zilong uses enter; who honestly doesn't know where that is!?
The command to bind a suicide button is simple as it follows standard binding format:
bind <key> kill
Thus, should one wish to use enter as the kill button, "bind enter kill" should be typed into the console.
So now you have a button that can kill you instantly at any given moment. What should you do with it? First, one must reach the point where one can use the key in heat of battle without hesitation or mistakes. One must practice this deadly technique whenever one is able. If time is available, simply run around a map of your choosing, and randomly kill yourself. It should not take too long to master reaching over and pressing the key, ending your life.
What are the practical uses of this technique? There are as many positive uses as there are molecules in every leaf of every tree in Canada.
One example scenario took place in de_dust2. I, as a CT, had a scout and was guarding long A. Then, after noticing a teammate get killled by Blessed by the CT spawn on the radar, a flash flew out from his direction, blinding me. I had less then 3 seconds to react. What would you have done in that situation? Let Blessed gut you and be pwnt!? No! I reached over and quickly pressed enter, killing myself. After the flashbang and worn off in spec mode, I saw Blessed stab the air where my back used to be. He then stopped for a second, and typed "wtf!?" Thanks to the suicide button, I had denied Blessed another kill to his knife kill collection. My life was worth it.
Another scenario also took place in dust2. I was a T that time. This event took place during the peak of MESB's popularity, so I was being a proper leader and demonstrating the ways of furious eskimo kamikaze. I purposely held back a few seconds, and watched a few of my teammates rush long A. Then, after a torrent of gunfire, I saw that about 3 CTs were guarding long A. I whipped out my grenade, and charged into long A, expecting an equal barrage of gunfire to aid me in the delivery of the Great Eskimo Messege. What I saw instead were two CTs running back around the corner, and a lone CT hiding by the long A doors, reloading. I knew I only had so much time to contribute to the Cause, and leaped upon that lone CT, expecting a glorious death. Three whole seconds passed before I realized that the CT was taking too long to kill me. I immediately reached over and hit enter, killing myself and dropping the grenade. That particular usage of the suicide button earned me a Persephone kill. Surely my life was worth that  :hump:
Now, as everyone should be properly learned in the ways of the suicide button.
Feel free to contribute tales of your own exploits with the aid of the suicide button
