, in my eyes, is the "advance and secure" mode, but its awesomeness worries me. I fear that when some cool new mods come out they wont utilize this function, or may not even be able to use it. The reason this worries me is that I like this mode because it adds just the right amount of order to the absolute chaos that is flag hopping in VBF2 and i fear that future mods will suffer from that madness. The AAS mode can be frustrating at times, like when you have no vehicle and you have to walk to the next flag, but for the most part it creates almost constant contact between the teams as they push one another back and forth in the epic struggle to push the enemy back untill they are pushed back to the sea, or hell, or where ever the enemy came from.

AAS FTW!
I'm not sure how their new modes are going to work in practice.

I agree with ya bout the flag thing, adds a little more realism. No longer can one person hustle to a flag, and cap it in a minute... it's more of a team effort. Since it takes so long to capture and the spawn times are more lengthy, makes players be more aware of their surroundings, cause if you go down, it'll be a while before you can return.

I like it too! POE is going to have a mode called "Frontlines", same idea. It is great because you have to work together to get anywhere. What I like is one when team is about to capture one flag, and at the next flag is another squad hiding, ready to pounce.......
Can't wait till this year is done so i can get back into it!

realism for me is to allow capping a base thats not on the front line, as its a real tactic to cut off support from the frontline and then they have 2 directions to cover.
though i know what you mean about vbf2, i think you should be able to do it BUT capping a base behind emeny lines takes alot more time.
And would like to see, for each base skipped the time increases to cap

while I agree that is realism, the way they do it makes for better battles! People aren't all over the damn map, makes for good games......however with that said.....your suggestion is good....you should suggest it over at their site too!

Yeah I really like how the battles are always focused in a certain error... especially after the first few 'uncapped' flags are taken down and then there's that stalemate as each side tries to take the other's flag. It's annoying when a few guys run away to cap a few flags and ruins the fun of the game... instead of fighting, everyone is scattering out trying to cap random flags.

I thought there was a suggestion that they were looking at that allowed spec-ops to capture a flag out of order.
