Newsfeeds added

In an effort to provide some extra convenience to our members, we've imported several RSS feeds from places such as CNN, 1UP, and weakgame.com. The Newsfeeds are updated once per hour.

You'll notice that on WiH's Home Page, there are links that when clicked, will take you to the main RSS Feeds page where you can read the stories. You can also Start a WiH Discussion or Join a WiH Discussion on the topic. You do not need to worry about which forum to post in as the system is smart enough to post the thread in a related forum.

Over time, as we find more feeds, we'll add them in. However, please feel free to post in this thread any other RSS feeds that you'd like us to look into.

Anyone else having problems getting the news links to load in a timely fashion? I mean after you click them to get to the story.

They are extremely slow for me :dunno: Could just be my works connection :dunno:

It's a little slow for me too. It's so new that I really don't fully understand it yet. Perhaps there are tweaks that I can do or settings that I can adjust to make it faster.

But as I'm clicking on the links from the Home Page, the slowness went away. I wonder if it's a cache/cookies issue. If it's been cached, then it's quick. Otherwise, it takes a little bit of time to create the page. I'l continue looking.

It was a tad slow the first time, but it seems to be running smoother now.

CNN is my usual homepage, so I really like this new feature to the site. I feel it's important to know whats going on in the world and not be an ignoramus.
