Lets all play with our Wiis!

Alright, so we now know what the wii is and what it does, but who is excited about it? I for one can't picture myself flinging my hands around infront of my TV to play a game, but what do you think?

Right now, I'm sort of leaning towards the wii because it's going to be cheap (about $200), and because I believe it will be the best bet for RTS games on a console.

I'm getting a Wii because its Nintendo and its less expensive than the other systems, and because it isn't all about graphics and 'M' rated games, but good gameplay.

I'll be getting the Wii. Mostly because I'm a SSB junkie, but I also wanna try some first person games like Metroid using the wiimote. I've always hated having to aim with a little analog stick. :P

Honestly I'm not excited about any of the new games for the Wii. After E3 the general consensus from most of the sites I read was that the controller was difficult to use and that the functionality seemed really tacked on to most games (in particular Zelda, which is always one of my favorites and I'd hate for it to feel like they botched the game just to go with the Wii's "vision").

But I will end up getting one because of all the retro games. A lot of the older games are exactly the kind of thing I can get my wife interested in. The "pick up and play" kind of stuff.

We just bought new Nintendo DS Lites and she is deeeeeeply immersed in Animal Crossing: Wild World. This is the kind of thing that we can do together - 10 to 15 minutes at a time, no long fetch quests, no long "missions" with no save points, etc.

The only game like that she's enjoyed was Wind Waker. Other than that, it's been all about the Animal Crossing, Mario, SSX, etc. So a Wii is definitely on my "wanna get one" list.

I'll probably end up with a Wii just for some kid games for my little boy.
