Need Votes....Got a dilema

Which would you do.

My birthday is coming up on the 14th, and my wife has given me some choices on my gift. And these are some pretty substantial gifts in my humble opinion......

1. Trip to Vegas, to hang out with the WIH crew.

2. An XBox 360

3. An IPOD. The good model, not the puny one.




My dilema is that I've been wanting an IPOD since they came out, AND I've wanted an XBOX 360 since they came out (though I never play my regular XBOX anymore, but they have some cool stuff....... ) AND I really, really, really, really want to go to Vegas. But, it will be over in a couple of days and probably cost me a few more $$$$$$$$$$$ once I'm there...................BUT I REALLY want to go.

I voted for the iPod because I use mine every single day of my life.

Additionally, I really hate everything Vegas has made itself stand for :wallbash:. I won't rant in your thread though :biggrin:

I also love my 360 but I get much more use out of my iPod.

I voted for the IPOD as well, pretty much for the same reasons Father Goose did. I too use my IPOD every single day and meeting the WiH crew in Vegas would probably be okay as long as you were into the activities to take place (drinking, gambling, strip joints:yaya: ). If you're wife is cool with that, go for it. But remember, your wife may be testing you.....

That's right, a test. Think about it. The Xbox and Ipod both cost about the same, but a Vegas trip, when all said and done, will be a few hundred more. It doesn't make sense!


Get her to combine your choices to an IPOD and XBox 360, or the Vegas trip. Only then could you make a fair decision.

1. traveling beats all for me, plus the mammaries, uh hum, the memories.

2. ipods-music is everywhere, wih will only be in vegas that one weekend.

3. you have a computer, this shouldnt even be on the list :) , instead the third category should be upgrade current computer :)

I said Xbox 360; I love playing some games on a 42" plasma than a 19" LCD. I like racing games and fighting games too so thats why I got one.

There's the "possibility" of an annual WIH Vegas Trip. Next year there may be more notice and more people going on the trip.

Hey, not every moment of my trip is going to be full of drink and debauchery. Vegas is awesome and full of all kinds of stuff besides boobs, gambling and alcohol. There's a cool aquarium I plan on going to, and amusement parks, The Blue Man Group show (Very cool I'm told).....and too much more to list.

Besides, not even I can drink for 3 or 4 days straight. :LolLolLolLol:

i would go to vegas, an Ipod is kind of a waste, who listens to 5000 songs a day?? Just get one of the $30-$40 MP3 players that hold like 100-200 songs. Thats enough for a couple days and you can load on new ones while your playing BF2. As for the Xbox 360...my friend has one and he only has one game for it as there isn't many out. If you want an Xbox 360 wait till they drop in price and more games come out for them.

PS i might even go to Vegas for a family trip this summer !

why? cause going places and doing things you dont normally do is more memorable than playing with your ipod or xbox 360... after you trip you can pick up those things when you get the money...

Ok, I was clearing it one last time before I finalized my trip. (BTW $456.20 Round trip was the best I could find for the dates/times I wanted...SO it was a little more than what we had agreed on.)

She asked what all was planned, and I know the rest of you would have probably lied but I'm not like that :slap:. Plus she specifically asked about the strip clubs. Now I've gone to strip clubs before with her knowledge, but I guess being thousands of miles away with a bunch of other guys JUST LIKE ME made her nervous :dunno: She still said I could go, but she would rather I didn't go the the strip clubs, and I couldn't promise her I wouldn't.

Been married for a little over 10 years now and I know when I can fudge an issue or not. Call me pussy-whupped, I don't care :D Better than not getting any for awhile :D Though she did let me know the Texas get-together doesn't sound so bad :dunno: .

See I was thinking the same thing and came to the opposite conclusion. The second two gifts will last where as a trip to Vegas will be a weekend and then pass - although if a you haven;t had a good vacation in a while I might recommend it.


I voted for the Ipod because it has the most universal usability. It can hold videos, pictures, music, you can use it as a flash drive... I'm a nerd...:dunno:

personally i would have gone to vegas, and gotten a psp, that way i acn have music, movies, and games.... i really am not a fan of the ipod and a 360 is overrated aswell, besides ou will get board ofthe posessions, you will not be in vegas long enough to get bored.... at least this time
