UPDATE: We're working on a PRMM 0.31 patch to address some minor issues with BF2 1.3 as well as add in some tweaks from the PRMM 0.30 release.

It will go into tessting today, but we need to do pretty extensive testing as we don't plan to release another PRMM update until 0.4 (which will be uber btw).

Those poor devs. They're going to patch it to .31 for 1.3 and then EA will screw them with 1.31 and they'll have to patch it to .32...

Yes, not having ABR on the server is a very good thing. At the end of EVERY ROUND on servers with ABR, it says "connection problems" for as short as a few second to as long as 11 mins as one person on their forums reported.

And who cares about a meaningless rank anyways? If you own, do you really need a little badge to prove it?

ok so im a complete n00b when it comes to mods, i downloaded prmm last night while sleeping and this is the first mod im gonna play, but what is ABR in terms of BF2? also, yall run prmm in the battlearena? or on another server?

oh and since prmm is runnin on 1.22 can i just install 1.22 or do i have to uninstall bf2 and then do 1.22 since i up(cause i havent had problems)/down(cause everyone else is having issues)graded to 1.3?

if you dont want to revert to 1.22, there are alot prmm servers running on the 1.3 patch. I suggest to just wait untill the devs form prmm come with the .32 patch:thumbsup:

If this is the first mod you are going to break your cherry on, good choice :biggrin: As far as installing, if you reverted to 1.22, just go ahead and install PRMM .3. We run it on our Arena server right now, and it is down right fun! Hope to see you on it later!

Nope you have to re-install and reload the patched untill you are at 1.22.

It's not that bad of a process, and don't worry about the ABR that is not on our server, and it went bye-bye with 1.3.

I suggest you wait for some of us to play with tonight, there is a learning curve to this game. It can be quite frustrating if you don't know why am you are getting hit when nobody is near you, or why won't this damn flag change, and everybodies favorite WTF..Who shot me.:biggrin:

I am messing with an idea of two BF2 folders, one patched and one not. I will let you know if it works or not. So if you are worried about upgrading, sit tight.

Maybe i am confused. Let me see if I have this straight:

1. You had BF2 1.22
2. You installed BF2 1.3
3. You uninstalled BF2 1.3
4. You installed BF2 1.22
5. You want to install PRMM .3
6. You are confused

If so, then you don't have to reinstall BF2 at all if you aren't having probs. Just have to install PRMM .3

Easy enough. Just copy your BF2 1.22 folder, then install the 1.3 patch. Then you either run the BF2.exe from the 1.22 folder or the 1.3 folder and viola.

I just made an entire copy of the BF2 folder, mods and all. Then I adjusted my PRMM shortcut to link to the copy of bf2 folder. Now I can play BF2 1.3, and PRMM .3/1.22

**** 1.3. I just came back from a friends house to discover that my PC no longer boots up BF2 with 1.3 installed. I wanna install PRMM, but I have one question. If I use PRMM with 1.22, how many servers/people will I be able to play with?

For those that have already patched, but want to play PRM........ Delete and start over. Install BF2 and the 1.2? patch. Install PRM. Copy your BF2 folder (it is over 4 gigs so make sure you have room) Change the PRM shortcut to direct it to the new folder. Install the 1.3 patch (it automatically finds the correct folder and will not mess with your copied folder)

You now have both games available. Just use the PRM shortcut to start PRM and you are good to go :thumbsup:

well, I'm stupid 2 I think. I can make a copy, but there for I need to have it at 1.22 right? and then I need to patch the originall to 1.3, will that go automatic? and how can I make sure PRMM will startup with the copied bf2? :dunno:

Ok, once you make a copy of bf2 folder you can apply the patch and it will apply it to your original BF2 folder and your profiles folders (located in my documents). After the patch is applied you will have two versions of BF2 on your computer, 1.3 and 1.22. To start 1.3, just click on your normal BF2 icon. To start 1.22, you have to go into the Copy of BF2 folder and double click the BF2.exe icon. To start PRMM in 1.22 you have to edit your PRMM shortcut. All I did was edit the shortcut from "..../EA/BF2/mods/....." to "..../EA/Copy of BF2/mods/......" Just make sure that the PRMM string points to the copied bf2 folder, as you can see in my example. After that, just click the icon that you want to play, and viola, two versions, two games, one happy person. :thumbsup:

Is there a new version out? I tried to play on the server today and it gives me an error saying im using an older version. I played yesterday just fine so Im thinking im missed something. (im still running bf2 1.22)
