OPK Operation Peace Keeper RELEASED!!

Guys,

I have to give Klickinator credit for posting this one on the FR forum. Operation Peace Keeper is release and I got a chance to play it over the weekend. I must say I'm pretty impressed with it just being a BETA and all. Its very pretty and seems pretty well balanced. Finally a German army based Mod! You all need to check it out.

If it is as good as the demo, then it is the best one out, hands down. (ok, ok, my opinion. :) )

Also, as for the Beta part, some mods always call their release a beta, and some say it is final. Really depends on your definition of "final".

The only downside I can see to playing this one is that it is based in Germany. As such, the pings I've seen on hosted servers have been somewhat high. I'm hoping that someone who makes more money than I in the US takes this Mod into their heart and decides to host a game closer to the US.
I've always had a very special place in my heart to play with gamers in the European Union. Since I speak, or rather type well in German its always nice to brush up a little on my skills.
Nothing beats a little international gaming competition.

I noticed alot off servers for mods are based in europe....that means low pings for me...:icon_bow:

I'm downloading the trailer now, the screenshots looked pretty cool...I hope you can play this one with low video settings...

I have seen lots of report of very bad lag. I think it was due to the fact that they didn't optimize anything yet. THey just released early so they could get it out for BFCon 06' That is why I have stayed away from it.

I think its very good (why I posted in the FR forums) but I'm almost positive it isn't final as there is still a lot needed to be fixed, like invisible walls blocking you in, and platforms not skinned so you can walk on thin air, but other than that its got to be one of the best mods out there...

I had an awesome run on this game last night. Only thing that sucked was I could only find one server with around 20 people playing and it was in germany (HIGH PING!!!) AGGHHH!! Still a good time though.
