Animated avatars!

Why aren't we allowed to have animated avatars anymore? I tried to put one and it said animated gifs arent allowed.

I dont mean animated signatures I mean animated avatars. Where my happy tree friends icon is? Avatars. We used to be able to load animated avatars.

You can make animated avatars or you can look for them on the net at places like livejournal.com. On livejournal there are tons of icon communities.

My guess cause they take longer to load, bandwidth, etc. or something along those lines. Also for V Bulletin I believe not allowing Animated Avatars is a default setting. I wish we could so I could use a different Avatar of mine. Some other examples of animated avatars are these.

Any animated avatars used are bc we have not locked down all the permission correctly yet. Once we do, they will not be permitted. Loading a page with animated avatars or sigs suck bc the page keeps loading when the image is served up from some crappy site.
