Well i just decided to join the forums today because for quite some time now ive been playing War is Hell Best of BF2 and War is Hell BF2 #1 and I tried to play best of today only to find ive been banned.
Now this doesnt really come as too much of a surprise as I do remember getting banned awhile back, but at the time i assumed it wasnt a perm. bann, as i have been banned from another server i regularly play on as well for a half hour because of people who think its fun to kill themselves any chance they can get while your taking off in a jet. However I am not to happy that this bann is perm. because if I remember correctly it was most likely for bombing an uncap.

Heres why... i agree that making passes on an uncap is really stupid esp. because if you take out the aa it makes it near impossible to defend against if the pilot is good. HOWEVER... I am not a good pilot, i just recently started trying to learn... as you can see by checking my stats... compared to my play time and chopper time, i am quite new to jets.
Anyways what im trying to say is... Yes I have made a pass on airstrips before to take out aa because when you follow planes back to their uncap to seal the deal and make sure they go down, usually the aa gets you as well. But i have never made more than one pass or destroyed planes on the air strip... I always thought that you couldnt make repeat passes and basically spawn kill planes, etc... but after making one pass i was booted and couldnt get back since.

So along side all that explanation, I would really appreciate it if you could unban me from best of BF2 so that I may prove that I am no jet camper... :icon_bow:

The Admin that banned you will post on this thread. Do you remember the date that you were banned and which server it was? Also what is your exact in-game name?

BTW, the rule is no bombing or strafing of the uncappable bases. One pass or more does not matter. If you are chasing a plane over the uncappable the chance you have to take is that someone in the AA may take you out. If you kill any ground personel in the uncappable it is a ban.

As ichi the admin who banned you must post here and it is ultimately up to them if you are to be unbanned or when. Usually it is 2 weeks if you post maturely.

While the offense is bannable I commend you on your mature and honest post. Those two things go a long way. Please wait for the admin to check in.

If you play with the clan tags {CLR}, then I banned you for baseraping, i.e. bombing an uncappable base, about a week ago.

While I appreciate the comment about not being a good pilot, as I can also atest to, it is still off limits to strafe or drop ordnance inside an uncap, even if it is to go after AA positions. This is the chance you take by going to close to the base. Even one drop is too many. It is still viable to go in on the ground and wreak havoc, just don't do it in an aircraft.

I have played with you before and you are a great welcome to play on the servers.

I believe that with the maturity and honest posting about the situation, I recommend that the ban be lifted. Please keep the rules in mind the next time you get on the server.

sweet gumdrops that was a fast reply... well thankyou for all the comments admins and members alike. The note has been taken and no more harm will come to uncaps in the slightest bit while in any vehicles.
You guys are awesome, and for those who said I posted in a mature manner, im glad to see that many other WIH members act the same way.

Keep up the good work and Ill hopefully see you guys in game.
