...we give the owners a great big THANK YOU!
In light of recent events, and the constant complaints rolling through the forums, I think we we owe them a very large thankyou. They provide us a place to play our favorite games in an environment where we can actually have fun and not be harrassed by l33t ppl. But its more than that. I have been a member of this community for over a year now and I have found some of the best things ever here. The most important of which are friends. I know and talk to alot of you at least every other night on ts, and its definitely not all business. In addition, the last few days without forums made me realize how essential they are to keep me in touch with you guys.
So again, thankyou owners for the sacrifices you make to keep this site, these servers, and this community kicking day after day. Without you guys, I don't think I would be the same person (or persona) I am today. Thanks again

THANK YOU! I think this has to be the craziest thing that has happened to WiH since i've been here for a year? lil over a year I think. In any case you guys did a fantastic job on damage control and getting everyone through the problem. Thanks to Groovy for letting us borrow his bandwith..Thanks for Crotch-Rot for all his efforts and hard work and thanks to all the owners for being great as per usual.
Yeaaaah man.. I'm actually suprised at the fast recovery.. I've been at sites that take months to make a comeback.
Good shit admins..
(You might need to get the word filter up n' running again ;))

I would have to agree with the others, great job on recovering everything and great job with the community as a whole!! I too, never realized just how much time I spent on these forums until they were not here, I even visit numerous from work, in fact I sometimes spend more time on the forums than doing my job :) (boy I hope my boss isnt a member here ;) ).
The only thing I really regret about all the events that have just recently taken place is the fact that I didnt "hang my hat" here at WiH sooner, but now that I have finally found my bearings and have seen first hand how owners, admins and members all came together during the time of crisis, I truelly know I have found the "home" I should have been at in the first place!

Yes! I haven't been a member very long, and mostly frequent the CS:S server, but love reading the forums and was pretty shocked to see that. But thanks to the owners, the site admins, the server admins and everyone around here that gives us all a great place to hang out and keeps the smacktards out. :D

Crotch-rot keeps everything moving and does a tremendous amount of work and deserves most of the credit. Snake, Drayu, and Grooveydude have also done quite a bit of work. Thanks for giving everyone a virtual sandbox to play in guys.

I think vBulletin recalculated the correct number of posts. In phpBB, it might not have reflected the correct count due to post deletions and such.

I suck up to admin as well as the next guy. And am amazed by the hard work he/they are willing to put into making this thing go.
But to be honest, I'm not fond of this new format.
Just my two measley ents worth. I'm not going to lie and say I like it.
Gratos for all the hard work, and please don't think me less of a person for voicing this, but I think it only fair to give you my honest opinion.
I can't put a smilie right here () to make sure you know I'm smiling as I post, and....it seems hard to find or navigate where I want to be.
Again, I'm just assuming you want honest feedback, and that you will take this for what is is. An honest, albeit small, opinion.
I am unworthy of your diligent work.
Thanks for making this happen.

AB you can't use smilies bc you have defaulted to a basic editor when posting. If you want, I can enable the standard editor w/ smilies for you. LMK

Is this the full (pro?) licensed version of VBulletin? If so it's cool (first time I've seen the full version in a while).
Gratz on getting the site back up and working (and quickly!). It's always nice to see a gaming community that cares about its forums and stuff.

Great job guys, I like the new site a lot better. One little thing that I noticed that's so cool but so small that it probably goes unnoticed, is how when you hover over a post the first couple of sentences appear so you dont have to click on it if it doesn't interest you.

I do that, but I end up clicking on the topic even if I don't like it... don't know why.
