time of banning: tuesday, april 25th, approximately 4:15 pm central.
my name is happysud.
I was banned on the 'Dalian plant' map for bombing uncappables. (chinese airstrip). I do not know who the admin was, although i suspect he was on the chinese side, due to the circumstance. I could be completely wrong.
anyway..
I was bombing the chinese airstrip because i was not aware it was against server rules. Obviously it is, and im not using ignorance as an excuse. I bombed the airstrip, however, because during all of the airmaps that day i was repeatedly getting bombed on the carrier, with the attackers going unpunished, at least as far as i could see. This led me to believe that it was 'okay' on the server, and i was ready for a little revenge. I bomb the chinese airstrip twice, and get banned, no warning that i saw. Obviously i feel this is a little unfair, since i myself had been bombed repeatedly. I would hate to think that the admin was getting bombed by me and only then decided to take action. At any rate, i would like to play on the server again, if at all possible. and no, i never bomb cappables (if the admin will note, i had not done so on any of the other maps i flew on that day). I was just frustrated that day. Thanks in advance for the reply.

Really the admins can only ban what they see and if you do not report that you are being bombed on the carrier and they are on the chinese side they might not realize it. The admin who banned will need post as we leave the length to their discretion. As far as a warning goes we have a message pop up every ten seconds and it is also on the loading screen and the rules are in the BF2 forum we have here. We do nnot require the admins to warn before banning because people should have sufficient warning with all of those warnings.

Oh i understand about the warnings. They can be hard to see sometimes in game in the thick of things, but thats still no excuse. Im not complaining about the ban, it was (in hindsight) completely justifiable. I basically posted to say 'sorry', and to point out that im not a habitual rule breaker (i'm very anti-asshat), and to see what my chances are of getting allowed back on the server again. Thanks for the quick reply.

I was on also.

I can't remember which side I was on. We were on opposite sides tag-team adminning. He banned a couple for me, and I got a couple for him. It was a busy afternoon.

In light of the very mature post, and taking responsibilty for his actions. I'm not opposed to shortening the perma-ban to a 2 week ban. But, we will have to see what agent's response is. And if the owners agree also.

I banned him for base rapping. He did it a few times. As for not knowing, the rule is texted on the screen every few minutes. However I do agree with Fozzy and recommend a 2 week ban.
