Final Warning from Valve

Next week we'll begin beta testing the new Valve Anti-Cheat system. For people playing multiplayer games, there will not be any visible difference while we're conducting the beta, but we will be logging cheating violations into our database to make sure it's ready for general release. This will be the last public notice before the system is released and active for everyone.

If you have any cheats for multiplayer games installed on your computer, now would be a good time to uninstall and stop using them. When a cheat infraction is detected, the offender will be permanently banned from playing on secure servers.

Oh my god!!@! You don't think I have a cheat hack thing going on do you?

I mean....I got the "I'm a nade magnet" hack, and the "shoot me in the head from a mile the second I turn the corner" hack, and the "please make my teammate die instantly if I sneeze on their kneecap" hack, and the "I never have no freakin money so I'm after you with a popgun" hack, aand the "I got 6 kids and yet have no current sex partner" hack but don't EVEN try and tell me I got something to worry about in real life.

Even Steam knows I suck.

Yet........

I am fearless.

Because I will pwj you guys in time. Not today. Maybe not tomorrow.

BUt let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time, I was a local foosball player in Mira Mesa CA. I worked and I worked and I PWN'd tha local crowd. Then my arcade advertised a big tourney, one that made it worth while for the big boys to show up.

Them guys came and spanked my king of the kill bottom. Embarrased me.

And all my friends. Everyone quit..... except me. I kept throwing my money at the "newcomers" who were really the class of the sport, in total denial,.... while all my buddies gave up the sport. Don't be discouraged...do not quit if you believe in yourself....don't let the "big boys" push you off course. And obviously, dont let a crackhead run you off.

In the end, I got 7th place in the US Open.

No. Not it's not first, but it is the concept of being driven to levels most can't handle, that is the point. If I can juggle my day job, and my child raising, and my game playing, into something managable, I will come and kick on all that arse. Be the king of PWN so to speak. Not today, not tomorrow, but all should fear the day Atomic Bob comes into his own. 20 years of video games can surely veto any measly gap in reflexes you youngins (no offense) have over a 44 year old.

And that said, let me say something to all of you youngins who might be questioning their ability to rise above the challenge, whatever it might be....since I know I'm surrounded by kids in school and such....

It's ok to be the Atomic Bob for a while...do not be discouraged. Keep the faith and focus on your dream. Keep the end of the mission in your sites. It aint always going to be easy kills. Sometimes you will get your butt kicked. But if you stay pointed forward, watch your back, and have a good weapon, you will find your way to the top of the pile.

It's ok to be the Atomic Bob for a while...do not be discouraged. Keep the faith and focus on your dream. Keep the end of the mission in your sites. It aint always going to be easy kills. Bet it will be closer to 200,000 banned this time. Played on a server tonight, and LITERALLY out of 10 players probaly 6 had OBVIOUS hacks on.

Spin-bot, aim-bot, wall-hack.......... AND they were flaunting Valve's attempt to stop them. Had to laugh........then pray they weren't right. :dunno:
