Icewind Dale 2

Well I decided to order from Amazon all those games I missed along the way. This came out in 2002 and was relesed on the SAME day as another RPG which was way more anticipated. So Im finally getting around to it 3 years later. This game is tough, tough, and tough. They throw heaps of enemies at you. An orc is, well, an orc. But 30 of them backed by 2 healers and a wizard just sucks ass. This is the second time in an hour Im trying to figure how to raise enough cash for a ressurection of two players. Alot tougher then the first Icewind Dale.

I liked it but I got nailed by a stupid bug that wouldn't allow me to advance further. I patched it, but I like NwN more then IWD 2.

Let me tell you hard this game is for those that havnt played it. Think back to BG 1 and 2. Do you remember when you were like Level 4 or 3 (most of your party) and ran across an evil party of adventurers? After you were done 'smoting" those turkeys you'd dig through the loot "oo this one has unidentified magic armor! oo this one unidentified magic hammer!" Usually just 1 item a corpse.

Ok.

Im those guys. Not evil, but 1 or 2 or NONE magic items to help out. Im not used to RPG's being chintzy on good loot. Im supposed to be "outfitted" by this point. Bodemius's piercing damage is innefective. I hate that message. :x And I havnt made it through ONE fight yet where I didnt look around and say " ok who's left? The paladin your kinda bleeding over there......ohh you just passed out, we will get you a blood transfusion there buddy.... lets see.......cleric down ( of course no experience points once again for you, forever level 2 :jerkit: ) wizard..........unscathed! How did you pull taht crap off?? Rogue dead, good try...you know...the backstab thingy..............Fighter, is that the fighter? Its a pile of goo with trademark armor. Thats 4 we owe ya hun! ( way to take it for the team) and me the ranger.....usually the only survivor since i max dex'd to 20 and am just firing a bow.

Im a fanatic for AD & D computer games but this is the toughest one Ive seen. And yes I played through all 3 NWN, BG, BG2, ID 1..................

If you like RPG's, and your up for the challenge, try this Serious Sam version of dungeons and dragons. By Serious Sam i mean, when you think the battles close to over, it isnt even close. Great, here come the third wave of friends.

( ohh and the montsers arnt dumb, unless your bottlenecking a choke point, they'll bypass the fighters and go straight for that cleric.)
