In light of a post made by Drayu concerning formatting...

For those of you who have an older cd for XP (sp1 or older) this will help you when reinstalling windows xp, as having sp2 on from the start is not only more secure, it also chops the installation time in ATLEAST half.

This is not illegal to do, considering ofcoarse you are doing this to a LEGAL copy of Win XP.

To help make things easier yet, I add drivers and files I need for installation (mainly ethernet driver) in the support folder of the Win XP cd before I burn, again, helping save time of having to download and/or change cd's out constantly.

Enjoy.

Slipstreaming is great! You can put all the updates on their as well as drivers and more! I like to use it for installing the OS with updates and also automating things like adding the cd key, screen resolution, network settings, etc.....basically all I have to do is insert the disc and walk away, everything else is automated :D
