I'm not sure how many of you have heard of this, but I believe it is a great cause. Some people on my website are very involved and I thought that perhaps a WiH team makes some sense. You got kickass machines, you got spare bandwidth. Use you PC for global good while it's not being used for something else.

Check out this link.

http://folding.stanford.edu/.

You download this thing, and you sign up for your "team". then, anytime your PC is idle, scientists use it to be part of one of the greatest super computer networks on the planet to try and find cures for diseases.

Your team then gets ranked for how much it contributes to the cause.

Now, I've asked the proponentrs of it that frequent my webiste, and they say there is no downside.

How about it, you gamer sum beeotches? Spare some processing power for the good of the planet?

Here is the link to the guys who started it on my website. They can answer any questions you might have.

But I think if you don't do it, you are a wuss. And I will put you on my list of losers to kill and dance upon your rotting smelly corpse every day.

I say WiH can easily support a team that would make a good showing in this thing.

It's a great cause.

Anyone else want to participate?

Please say yes.

I'm already doing a different folding project. The United Devices one. I'm on that Battlefield 1918 team, though I don't play the mod, or even know what the status is on it.

I'll check it out and might switch from Einstein (gravitational wave) over to it. Be especially nice to have a team one actually "knows" the members.

Dancing on rotten corpses?

I must have been drinking.

Anyway, if there is interest in setting up a team, we should. If not enough people here, then maybe the ones that want to join can get on the team on my site.

They are ranked 138th if I remember last nights reading correctly.

(hmmm....is that even possible?)
