Anyone can post on this thread im just slightly directing this comment becuase of some off color comment which I know Z3 said in Jest. I want to explain my Counter strike playing to Z3 because of his comment ( and anyone else), it irked me he said what he did at the time, and then I realized, well thats the way I play.
Jeff comment. " Im going T next map because I want the challenge." ( dust was next map)
Z3 comment. " Why so you can die in a fiery rush like you always do?"
I have no clue why this irked me at all, I like Z3. But he was right in what he said in a way. Something inside me made me want to post this I think because IM a weirdo counterstrike player.
It genuinely pissed me off in a way because more often then not, I top the scoreboards ( which I did on that dust map :P 19-7) He has a point though. Most of my scores in counterstrike are like anywhere between 20-17 and then 10 deaths. I ALWAYS die. ALWAYS. Every round. But i take out two or three alot of times too before I bite the bullet. I am a self induced sacrificial killing lamb.
I ask you, is this the right way to play counterstrike??? Ive played 4 and a half months and I know you all regulars mostly see my score very high but Im always dead. Is it good to have a killer out the gate on the bat? This is just the way I play, I FEEL. I dont care if I die in 20 seconds of start round. If two opposing players are dead, I think Ive more then done enough.
Im no stat whore or Id work my ass off to stay alive, I just kill as many as I can before I go down. Which to the dismay of the server is more often then not, more then me. My brother is going to be a regular starting tommarow. He isnt anything like me cause I know Ryan inside out. He'll be a damn good camper like Phyx ( in time) and piss off people in his own way. Z3 may just have me on edge cause I want to do good for my brother ( or appear good, we live in seperate states and are trying to connect), but made me unsure of the way I play the game.
I dont care if I die if 3 die by my AK before I do. Thats just the way I play ( which is why Im kind of crap at end game). Im sorry to my friends and clan that I dont generally ever make the end game for defusing bombs and such. But if my name is consistently in the top 3 for kills, what am I doing wrong??????
Thats a serious inquiry for serious response. Im not joking about this crap, thanks Z3. :P

I think thats a perfectly acceptable way to play Jeff. I aim to take down 2 before I go, my thinking is that 2 enemy deaths to 1 friendly death can mean my team wins. Also, I dont mind dying every round, so long as I at least kill someone. If I continually die without killing, I tend to start getting frustrated at myself, because I know I'm better then that. This is my own problem though, my own lack of patience. I think your play style is fine.

I sent a huge ass email to my bother tonight, he's never played counterstrike, with all kinds of my own tips and stuff. use the MP5 please Ryan, single shot the Ak, here is when to spray and pray, here is how to flash people, tips I dont give my friends cause they've played this game long enough. He's never played. I didnt tell him im usually dead in 45 seconds, crap I dont want him to follow my footsteps.
( I couldnt stress that "use the MP5 the first week to him enough")
I lub my bro.

Jeff u and i have the same problem so i know exactly how u feel. I believe the proper way to play CS is soley team based. Some CS players are all about their scores they never stick with the bomb (if its planted) and wont defuse if they are threatened by the odds. Some CS players will charge in first because the rest have fear (the only fear is that the entire team will not), some take charge of the group and usually that team with a leader wins(only in crowds like 10v10+).
I will always try to be the leader of my team no matter what server im on if no one is in command. If my team is winning and my score is 0-12 I honestly dont care. but if my team is losing, they wont listen to the leader(or me if i am) then i just say "fvck it" and i play for myself and by myself.
What Z3 said would anger me a little too but not really lol. Its weird but i know how you feel. Its just another example of the pros/cons of different CS style. Just keep playn how u do jeff and the next time we're on the same team we'll rush in that god forasken tunnel together!

No worries Jeff I play the exact same way I die soooo much sometimes I tell my self camp so you dont die but it never works I rush anyway. I found that if you are not aggressive you do not get kills and what fun is that. so just keep it up. :D :mp5: Id rather be 20-10 than 10-0

Zilong, Golddragon, Jeff and some others(to many to name)rush like crazy. There is nothing wrong with this. It is usually the only way to win on some maps. I love it when some of these guys are on my team. As well I love it when people like Phxius(campers)are on my team also. It makes it where you can fall back and have cover. There are various playing styles and most of the good players make have these various styles.(some camp, some rush) If I'm on a team that has some rushers on it I will rush with them(unless the whole team won't rush or we get slaughtered every round). So i guess what I am saying is that the game sometime dictates the way people might play including myself. If on a rushing team I rush. If playing on a camping team I camp. Oh yea, if I rush I usually get OWNED because I'm better at long shots than up close. So does this make me a bad player? :dunno:

Nah Eject. Everyone has there own playing style. I can either rush like crazy, or stay back and defend. For me, it depends on the map, and which side I'm on...

Seriously Jeff you know i play exactly the same way. Always go out shooting. Come on I was on when Z said that and I was at the front of a lot of the rushes we did that map. I also had a horrible score but thats not the point.I personally have been trying to get more people to rush and stop standing around like panzys watching their teammates die. As you probably know since i was yelling about it a lot that map. :upyours:
SO we are on the same page  :hump:

You might stand a chance running at us than sitting and waiting on a AK or Deagle shot to the head., cause we are both cold bastards with em.

I checked out that Eject, I didnt realize I was so high up on the Deagle list. In response to what someone said about Dust. That issue is driving me nuts lately with the T's slowin down to a crawl at the mosque. I havnt really had a comment on it yet though. Its intimadating to run to A. I propose this for T's:
A) Rush A and cut through the small passageway to the double doors.
B) Defend the middle of the mosque for about 1 minute then rush out the right tunnel torwards the underpass. ( i caught 5 CT's cold with there backs to me yesterday)
Its tough.

Jeff I know that Filthy is our clan leader, but don't forget who recruited me. There was a reason why I joined your clan in the first place. Thats because I wanted to work with a cold bastard and not some prissy bitch.
I don't see anything wrong with that style of play either. What makes this game challenging more times than not is the diversity in the way people play it. You can't deny that human aspect of it. I'm not very concerned with rank either, if anything, I'm more concerned with my present score on that particular map. The reason for this is because I want to be sure if my current strategy is working or not, and of course for the competition aspect. I'm very competitive with this game, but it's all in good fun.
The style I tend to adopt almost without effort is to be completely flexible. Aside from the necessary things, I try to keep my mind empty and act on impulse. Not complete instinct in situations, but the free-flowing snap of the finger decision making that's required. If I'm on an underdog team, or even a flat-out losing team I will concern myself with the team's objective and try to win it for everyone instead of concerning myself with individual kills. Planning goes a long way.

im not sure you can decide whether a strategy is working or not based n present score....i know sometimes i tend to hide in absurd spots and just call out enemy positions with no hopes of living....but thats just me
i agree with you on the diversity of play though, that is all the challenge to this game
