Command problems

Don't know whats causing this but,players with much lower rank than me are getting the comm position when I apply.. any input guys??? Never had this happen before a few days ago.... :thumbsdown:

The only time this happens to me is when you don't apply right off the bat. You need to apply for commander within the first few seconds of the round, otherwise you are out of the "application period" and a player with a lower rank will pwn you. I hate when this happens :x

well, when they do it right its okay, but when they are doing everything exept commanding I get pissed.

I agree. I get over it if they do a good job, but when they put around like they're trying to find their balls, I get frustrated

It can be a little fustrating to command if your not in the habbit of it. A couple of days ago I clicked apply and somehow actually got it. I found a hiding place, hunkered down and then stared at my screen for 10 seconds......trying to find my balls........as I relised I couldnt remember the f'ing command key. In the time it took me to turn, grab the manuel, thumb it open, find the page somehow the MEC forces had grabbed every spawn point. So sometimes a new commander can be fustrating for all involved, but there is a huge urge to run back and try and take flags that your team seems to be incapable of holding for 30 seconds. (footnote: I now have the manuel on the desk so its not "aw hell Thripts comanding log now!")

I've had it happen to me a few times as well, I know, it's lame.

Offtopic question: How does a server decide who gets Commander when 2 equal highest ranks apply for it?

When two people of equal rank apply, it is SUPPOSED to go by who has the higher global score.

There's been issues with who gets commander since day 1, it doesn't always go by rank, it doesn't always go by who applied first, and it's sometimes rather random.

I've had people with much lower rank get commander even though I applied first(on TS with them, they applied at the last second just as a laugh..then laughed when they got it over me).

Maybe..someday...in a mod...commander will actually go by rank *shrug*
