Typically, I'm confused....

Ok, I'm on the ff server, and I accidently recruit a new guy for my tournament team. All good.

Then he says I'm going to the "public server" to practice, and leaves. So I want to go, being the good ol boy that I am.

But I don't know where it is, I say so, someone gives me an IP and figures anyone short of a loser can get there from here, right? Well, This (WIH ff), and a couple other servers I have in my favorites, are the only only ones I can find without scrolling through thousands.

How do I find the public server, or use the IP, or take advantage of any other dozens of good uses for this miscellaneous information stream I keep getting?

I don't know what to do with the IP adresses. I can't find my people when they use it. I can't find anything. I don't even know my own name.

I suck.

Open the console... then highlight and copy the IP... then type in "connect [IP HERE]" (without the []) or go to favorites, right click and paste the IP in that box to add it to your favorites.

Go into your favorites, right click and select "add server by IP"

Bob, I've tried to decipher your post, and although I'm not sure I've translated correctly, I'll attempt an answer...

To use the IP you were given, right click the server list (probably your favorites tab), and choose the "Add server by IP address" option. Type in the IP for the WiH pub server (ff-off, found in the banner at the top of this page), and you're good to go.

Hope this helps. I couldn't find the option for a while when I first started playing this game again...
