Well I guess I'll be done playing COunterstrike for good when I get BF2. BFV was dissapointing but this looks like its going to be as fun as 1942 was if not more so.

thing i like is unlockable weapons.. On some sites they are saying that the weapons also have a selective firing.. Single fire, Burst Fire, Full Auto..
I am hopeing that this thing will rock enufffor me to forgive some of the artistic errors in the models.. (cobra with tail rotor on wrong side of Airframe) but if the play is as good as they make it sound.. Squad leaders, Commanders, rankings and such then this game will easily be one of the best for some time to come. I mean its a game that combines.. FPS with RTS and if it can pull it off ... as said above... WOW!!

Eh, I saw some new screen shots and it didnt' really impress. Looked like a BFV mod, nothing impressive.

Beyond the screenies, BF2 has a whole different level of gameplay available for the commanders. That is what is attractive about BF2. Tanks, planes, choppers, we've all been there, done that. But having commanders in the game really will make a big difference, IMO.
I sure wish Meltdown is around. He would make a good commander.

Don't get me wrong, I think that is an awesome idea!!!! I want to be a commander! I really could care less about the fighting, I love tactics and directing, so count me in on that part, especially when it comes time to clan war :D
What I was saying is that the graphics look VERY VERY BFV, and that scares me because of the lag issues. I was hoping that they took a little lesson from CS. That game runs GREAT on High settings with a decent vid card and still looks sweet. They need to go that route. Also, I was hoping that they had more vegetation. The screenies that I saw today didn't have too much. And from what we saw in their "in-game" trailer movies, there was lots of it to hide in.....I guess we will have to wait and see.

The screenies are very odd. They look nothing like the other screenies and demos that we've seen. The screenies from GameSpot looks like they came from a very very early build of BF2 or something. That or they ran it on a POS computer and turned the details down to Low.

i havent looked at any of the other screenies or vids seeing as how ill never be able to run the game anyway.....but is it possible that the previous ones actually were not of in game graphics, but rather cg
just a thought :dunno:

Indeed some were, I also believe they scaled the graphics back to better meet today's limits. I could however be wrong.
