The damn thing is $250...but imma get it. Theres so much u can do with it. Watch movies-now buying a movie on that damn UMD is expensive, so I found out that u can just put movies on the memory stick and psp will play em. How cool is that!?!? u would of course have to get like a 512 stick at least. :hehehe: It comes with stuff in the box including a Spiderman 2 movie (at gamestop). You can view pics and listen to music too. I think its worth the 250 especially since DS is BS it like N64 graphics for cryin out loud. There was a report in OPM that said the japanese launch had like 8% of their PSP's defective square buttons so they think its fixed now :yuck: Itd better be cuz ill just return that sh!t. lol But i definately think its a good investment for now. I bet SOny sells like 1.4 million units anyway. :thumbsup:

w0rd! That's exactly the same reason I'm interested in getting one, but I too plan on waiting for the price to go down. There's no doubt in my mind it's an impressive piece of hardware with loads of features, but it's just shy of the price a full-blown console is when it first launches. I'm a die-hard MGS fan, so I need to play Acid.

nah im pretty sure it would have. The jap ver plays all, but a US verion only plays US games. This was the case with GBA SP but i dunno about Sony. :dunno:

Well... I camped at Wal-Mart for 3 hours and got this sucker at Midnight... best thing ever... the screen is the best screen ever... everything is the best ever.

i got mine at gamestop at midnight. I didnt have to wait in any lines, i got their at like 11:50 and all i had to do was wait til 12:01 :thumbsup: . This thing is sooo awesome i got wipeout and the spiderman 2 picture quality is flawless :rockon:

WOW!!! The PSP is awesome! I'm usually not a portable gaming guy but this thing has got me hooked! Screen is crystal clear. Spiderman2 movie looks HD on it.

I got NFL Street 2 and NFS Underground games. So far, I'm impressed with both games!

I loaded pics of my little boy onto the memory card to show relatives at Easter Brunch. It is nicer than bringing a stack of pictures!

The PSP is going to eat a big chunk of market share from the GameBoy.

My wife suprised me w/ the PSP for my birthday, and I was blown away.

Typically, I stay away from the consoles, especially the handhelds, but this thing is amazing. The whole thing is pretty cool looking. I like the style of the case (even if it is prone to fingerprints), and when you turn it on, the display is stunning. The 4.3" LCD is BIG, bright, and crystal clear.

Built in wireless is a cool feature. I haven't played anything online, but I was able to connect through my router. There are already reports of a full web brower hidden in one game [Wipeout Pure], so I can't wait to see what else develops.

So far I'm playing Spiderman 2 and Twisted Metal: Head On. I'll probably pick up another game or two in the next couple of days. Any recomendations?

This thing has a lot of potential. It should be pretty fun.

Also picked up Lumines. Puzzle game like Tetris with a twist. Fun and addicted game.

Finished the Tutorials in NFL Street 2. Going to Own the City mode next.

Wait to get the Logitech case... http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/256290.asp That one will be very good and Logitech is good at making things last (at least in my experience).

That's a nice case! I was also looking at the case w/ a battery so you can DC charge the PSP while it's docked in the case. Forgot who makes that one.

I'm looking for a good puzzle game to pick up in the near future. I'm shying away from Lumines, although it looks very interesting, as I've had enough of the well-type / Tetris like puzzlers. Looking forward to either Mercury (leaning towards this) or Smart Bomb as soon as they are released. I wish I could get an update on Warthog's Sticky Balls, as the title alone would drive me to purchase it.

128-----pics, alot of pics
256-----music about 95 songs if compressed
512-----about 100 songs or a 2hr movie compressed

Can you give me your own brief (or no) review of Lumines? Going to pick up a PSP tomorrow (today) and dont know what game(s) to get. Im thinking Dynasty Warriors because its always fun to slaughter tons of guys...but i have heard a few good things about Lumines.

Anybody with a PSP... do yourself a favor and buy the new Logitech PSP case... this thing is freaking awesome... cutouts for almost every switch/slot (only things covered is the Eject button and the USB port). You can also use it to prop it up like /\ and it is really awesome.

I am still playing the 3 games I have for it: Lumines, NSF Rivals, NFL Street 2. Can't find a place with 1GB Duo in stock so I only have the 32mb that came with the system. I put some pics of my 7-month old son on it to show friends and family.

That's about all that I do with it.

I've been playing NSF:Underground every day while I'm on the train going home. My latest car that I own is a Mazda RX-8 bright red with a Street 2 body kit, dark black tinted windows, and white underbody neon light for now.

I'm starting to get Level 2 performance mods now.

I find that movie to be a complete mochery of everything Resident Evil is to me. A great series of games aren't deserving of such horrendous filth like these RE movies. I think Paul Anderson should be cut 1,000 times with a razor and soaked in lemon juice for 3 days. The plot was ripped to pieces, the characters are uninteresting and I never found myself caring whether they lived or died(which is sad since I love Jill in the games). The action was mediocre, and it just insulted the games in every way possible. I understand that they wanted a different storyline for the movies, and not follow the games to much but COME ON! It's upsurd the amount of CRAP they are able to shove into 2 hours. What's even more disturbing to me is that they're actually making a third film. And that they anticipate people to actually go see it. Which people will. You know why? Because people have different opinions. This is just that - my opinion. Try not to take any offense to this Pills. I just really hated the movies, but loved the games.

I need a new game... I'll be traveling for work next week, and need something to occupy me while sitting in the airport/plane.

I'm not a golfer, but I've been playing the hell out of Hot Shots Golf recently. Its pretty fun for me since the rounds are quick and I can get a game in when I just need a 10 minute break. I think that's the key to my enjoyment of handheld gaming. I had to quit playing lumines because the games were getting way too long.

I was thinking about Smart Bomb. Anyone try it? I love the puzzle games. I wish they'd make something like Devil Dice for the PSP. IMO one of the best puzzle games of all time.

The key for me is to try and keep the board down to 1 color. Not sure exactly how to explain it, but you get a 1,000 pt bonus everytime you have only 1 color of blocks on the board. If you can clear everything, I think you get a 10,000 pt bonus.
