Started walking out the door and SLAM. Passed out. Woke up with a nurse picking me up and I was saying "Its cool, I just wanna sit down for a second." Shes like "No you dont sweetie, you passed out." I still got the lump on my head from the floor

Oh wow man...not so cool. I give blood annually...I have yet to even get close to feeling dizzy. Maybe I just have too much blood.

Was she a hot nurse? If she was, then it was alllll worth it

That's funny! Well, kind of. I have donated almost 3 gallons of blood (obviously not at once!) and I have never come close to passing out.

But the one time I sold plasma, I just about had the same adventure you did.

Dunno what the difference was. Maybe it was cosmic revenge for selling a lifesaving bodily fluid I normally just give away. ;)

I got to pass on the pepsi and they hooked me up to some IV to raise my blood pressure or something. I thought that was death. The nurse wasnt the best looker in the world but she had that nice motherly comforting thing about her. All of em came over the bullshit with me though. Including the receptionist and she was BANGING

I have given blood, platelets, and plama without problems. Platelets and plasma does take a lot out of you tho. In more ways than one. :yaya:

From my experience it depends on where you go to donate blood, some places take out more. I quit donating to the Red Cross because they took out too much, and they called me every day for an entire year even though I asked them to take me off their list every day. I ended up having telling them I had a blood disease just to get them to take me off, and even then they were inquisitive as to what I had because they said I could probably still donate... bad experience. Now I donate to a state run deal occasionally and its been better. I think I might start selling plasma for extra cash :/

Used to donate blood a lot. Now they frown on you donating if you've had syphilis.

:(

And now you all know why I'm nuts.

:D

Telemarketers...I can tell you a few things about them....I used to be onna them.

They have a list in front of them of names of people in certain areas....and the names who aren't crossed off...they call, even if they've been called a zillion times. They pass the lists around to other people every hour. One point I'm trying to make is...if you ever have a telemarketer call you.....try not to be mean to them..........they're just doing there job, ya know? Anyways...usless they cross your name off the list, they kept calling you. And with SOME telemarketsers,...if you're mean to them...(even if you tell them to take your name off the list) t won't cross you off. So just be nice to them....P0LITELY to cross you off they their call list......and they wiull do it. Now...of course this just from the place I worked.......

I donated blood once... My High School was having a blood drive. Lets just say they messed up when they put the needle in. I'm looking around at the other people and I'm wondering how they look so calm. I couldn't squeeze my hand anymore and just dropped that thing they put in my hand. I saw one lady reading a book. I couldn't figure out how because it hurt SOOOO much.

Then a football player spoke up and asked why my blood was the color it was. It was bright red because they stuck the thing in my artery. So they played with the needle some more asking me the whole time if it hurt, "Yes, very much so." It felt like someone trying to cut off my arm for about 2 weeks.

Ahh.. The best part was all the blood in my arm coagulated in the muscle tissue. So it F'ing paralyzed my arm for about a month! Turned a real pretty color as well.. :yuck:

I really would have liked to have sued them, but I wasn't old enough to sue them on my own and my dad donated blood a lot. He didn't want to bury them. Oh well.. They did pay for all my medical bills. The only reminders of it I have are a small scar from the tunicate and a rather high tolerance for pain.

Good times.. :jerkit:
