I'm about 1/4 through so haven't seen much of it, but I like the fact that you can blow up most anything and the graphics are killer.
You can call in monster air and artillery strikes.
AI for enemies is a bit predictable.

I have this for the Xbox and it is a killer game. I got the first deck captured so far. Haven't had time to work on the second deck yet.

Yeah I got it, I love the special effects, but I sort of lost interest at the moment, Once you get the first deck, do you go on to a knew level/play area? Or do you just stay in the same one?

Dunno. Haven't started the second deck yet. :) I think the missions will require you to go into different parts/paths in the same area. If you look closely on your map, you'll see that there are paths off from the main roads. Sometimes, exploring those paths will lead you to a small firefight between factions that you can choose to participate in. :mp5:

But you get to unlock Han Solo and Indiana Jones. And blow stuff up with them. That's worth $50 in itself.

I'm into the second deck. The map stays the same. I was a little bummed to see things I had blow up regen but it probably critical to game play.

Right now I'm trying to escort a journalist to various locations. It's a timed thing. I'm stuck at Inchon trying to figure out how to get his stupid butt back in the vehicle to go to the next location. He just stands there filming me. I have a feeling I have to go on the tarmack and grab a chopper but it is a hail of gunfire in there and I haven't made it yet.

When I did that mission, I just left his ass out to dry and took off in the jeep. I get more money killing and blowing sh1t up than escorting his journalistic butt around. :D

If anyone finds where the Ace of Diamonds is holed up, let me know. I'm tired of driving around.

The King of Diamonds was a kick butt mission. I recommend taking several hundred grand for resupply and a tank. I was going to type a walkthrough, but don't want to spoil the fun.

Ace of diamonds is the first Ace right?

No, it's the second one. Assuming everyone's order runs the same.

I had hearts first. :dunno:

I played it up at Best Buy a week or two ago and I didn't care for it much, really... I was hoping it would be fun but I just couldn't get into it.

If you want a good PS2 game... grab God of War (coming out Wednesday)... I preordered it last night and got the demo and this game is VERY good... amazing graphics (for PS2) and the gameplay is very fun.

Maybe it was clubs. I blame bad memory on old age. But diamonds is 2nd. And you get the Ace mission by going to Allied HQ. I shoulda knowed that. Man, I covered the map dozens of times wainting for something to light up. Finally gave in and went to HQ. They are kind pissed at me for team killing, so I was reluctant to go. (Imagine that)

After accepting the mission they choppered me onto an enemy infested island where I'm supposed to destroy a supergun.

They give you carpet bombing!

So far I've made it to the prototype gun, and seen the target gun. Can't figure out how to activate the protoype to use it.

And I used the carpet bombing to smoke the Ace of Diamonds.

Once you get through (get in the prototype gun, by.....NO!! Not some big secret handshake, just go to the door and click "man weapon". I'm such a dork. Then you blast the big gun and go after the Ace. I grabbed hijacked a tank, drove near his location and layed down the carpet bomb from a distance. Freakin Sweeeeeet!) and start on Hearts (No not the imaginary hearts I mentioned earlier, but the real hearts that are not clubs and that are the round three) you get a new map.

That's cool, but I'm getting some shut eye. Save game. :0trampoline:

So you do eventually get a new map area to play around in?

atomicbob

Yes, I'm in a new map. It's cool but much more difficult. The cities are more concentrated and more densely packed with enemies. Seems to be more air cover, too. Roads are full of traffic.

So far I'm struggling.

Have to stop and watch the 500 in Atlanta.

Wahoo!!
8-)

Yea this game is pure enjoyment in so much as basically the entire point of the game is to blow shit up :D :jester: :D Its got an alright story, or should we say prediction of whats to come in North Korea? Anyways it does get pretty tough, seeing as you are basically a one man army, but the airstrikes that you get to call in never get old, and are awesome each and everytime. My personal favorite is either the carpet bomb, which is disgusting in the area that it covers, and the fuel-air bomb. :hehehe: After one of those bastards everyone is a winner, and by that I mean that, well I'll let you guys who have the game see for yourself. :jester:
