There was a special about her on the medical channel. They are rebuilding her face, but it will take many years.

i saw a sad storie with a girl from some 3rd world contry that was in a fire and her botom jaw and fused with her chest. She was unable to completely close her mouth and eyes for years. It was not the greates thing to watch right before you go to bed...

My wife was watching that the other night...I couldn't even bare to watch it, just really unfortunate.

watched it.....didnt finish it cause I clicked on the "Meet a girl just for sex" link......I had to see what that was....

Anyhow its sad but its part of life....they were unfortunate ones to have their baby come out that way.....
And it wasn't that bad to watch

Kinda reminds me of the guy from the Goonies... I know sounds bad or mean but that's what it reminds me of... *shrug*

That's terrible. Poor kid :frown:

I can't even imagine what it would be like to live like that. I'm hoping that those surgeons can help that child.

Not looking human is one thing, but having to eat through a hole in your stomach is just fVcked up.

All PC aside, I dont know what is worse: the baby's condition, or the medical technology that makes it possible for the girl to live in that gruesome state. Where do we draw the line between quality of life and technological advancement?

The fortitude of her parents is just incredible. I would not be up for that challenge.

Not to rez a dead thread, but I am a father of 2, one is the age of that little girl in the video. It is amazing what a child will do to the way you think, and the way you look at life. Sometimes, in my more morbid moments, I think about what would happen to me if anything were to happen to my kids, and I draw a blank. I just don't know. I think thats how those parents are dealing with it. Day by day.
