Best of BF2

The SF server was converted to a BF2 server today. It is running the best of BF2 maps in the following order:

Karkand
Oman
Mashtuur
Dragon
Sharqi
Karkand
Dalian
Mashtuur
Sharqi

If the BF2 #1 server is full, please join the Best of BF2 server.

Just out of curiosity, I know there were problems with Fushe Pass on Server 1, did these problems occur on server 2 as well? :nuts:

Since server 2 has always been running as SF, we don't know. Once we build up a player population on this server, I'll add it into the cycle.

Well fare-well kids. I'm now retiring from BF2. Maybe I'll make a guest appearance once the new mods are released. I hate to remove myself from the top of the "PowerHouse Player List"... but somethings gotta give, and in this case, it was the beloved SF server.

Guess it's time to allow the opposition to live, instead of obeying to the domination of the PowerHouse squad.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but the infantry/armor thing, have you actually removed the armor from the maps.

Huh? The armor/infantry is just my way of denoting that the map is either an infantry base or armor based map. That's all. i don't alter any maps.

one server will stay vanilla BF2. One server goes Booster.

Wake Island is a hot/cold map. Unless the US have some very good Squad Leaders, they'll never take the island. Instead they'll be arty and bombed to death on the ship. I've been many players leave the server when this map comes up.

This server is ranked just like #1. It is running vanilla BF2 engine. So you do not need SF to get on it.

Its an add-on, adding new maps and vehicles (only to those maps of course) Its good because you dont have to open a new client and can play it along with Vanilla maps.. the problem is that people who dont have the boosters get booted when the booster maps come along... Thats why they have a vanilla map and a vanilla+booster map: so the non booster people dont get kicked

well the only map i can think has 2 bombers is Daqing and i remember how many people got pissed at that map and wanted it taken of the rotation

Well Server 1 was full around 5:50 pm CST, so I went to server 2. It was just me for about 15 min, no one joined :(

Just my .02 I think the first map for now, should have jets. The reason is some people might want to practice fly on an empty or low populated server, and once its populated with a few we might attract more adn then snowball to capacity. Right now with karkland as the first map, you can only drive around it so many times, and the map won't change until it has enough to start.

I think this sucks, im not a member of WiH however i am very loyal to this server along with 12 other players... We would get online at around 3:30 just to get it populated and we did. I played with [WiH]WarMachineAE all the time in his POWERHOUSE squad as he called it. There is a shortage of SF servers and as an insider, i know how well liked this server was. I also complained last time you changed it and was very happy to see you change it back to SF. I could see nothing wrong with the server, exept for the 6:00 restart. But it was full most of the time and some of the best SF players played on this server. Many of us met on this server to play but are lost when it is changed or down becasue we don't know where to go. I hope you change the server back to SF seeing that the pop is 0/64.

Ok, the problem is, EA isnt supporting the SF server, and the booster packs are for the Vanilla BF2, it is sad that EA hasnt come up with a way to put it all in one, now that would be awesome... which brings me to my next point, , put the money where their mouth is... Donate people. you want the servers then doante, (cripes even 5 bucks would help the owners in there decision, they need to know the community suopports them) I am not an owner, but I Know it is expensive, my hat goes off to the owners, and my donations havent been there that much, but you can be assured they will be, I am proud to be here, and how the servers are run!!! also, the admins are hand picked, and that is for a reason.

The only thing it is missing is Kubra Dam. I like this map because it contains everything (i.e. mobile AA's) and is close action with heavy armor. :rockon:

POE is for BFV. POE2 for BF2 is not out yet.

Ahh Ok. That answered my questions. Had fun with Clay and the gang on SF. Sorry to see it go. Best of is a good group of maps though.
