I could never get into those games, but you didn't leave me an option for that on your poll. :? :wallbash: :)

You made me remember my Jet Junkie in Fallout 2, where I got banished from Vault City for having Jet on my person.

i thought morrowind was pretty good, but then if you tried to list all the rpg's your list be very long..so i'm not really complaining, more like a statement really

This is a PC RPG poll, if you even think about bringing in tainted console rpg's into this mix your out of your ******* mind. Who the **** cares about Japanese console rpg's?????????? They all revolve around Gaia "the secret of the earth!" every single one of them. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzz. Lame. Im not saying the Final Fantasy games wernt fun, but console games have no , let me emphasize "NO" hold over PC RPG's at all. Were taking about guiding a good or evil character here, you cannot do that with Final Fantasy console games, the choices are not there. Role Playiong means swing one way or the other, I should of added Knights of the Old republic on that list.

Lijke Vyrallan said, he was a junkie hero hooked on smack in Fallout2. Name one nintendo game that even gives you the oppurtunity to do that. I laugh at you as I remember my murdering rogue from Baldurs gate 1, and every throat he slit on his way to glory.

Quote from back of Fallout 2 cd case
"Fall in love, get married, and then pimp your spouse for a little extra chump-change. Hey, it's a dark and dangerous world."
That does say a bit for the flexibility of PC rpg's i think

You sadden me dbodenheim. KOTOR is not on the list. And it easily is greater than any of those, imo. Also Diablo II is missing.

Yah I think I mentioned that I should of added KoToR. Diablo and Diablo 2 however dont count as RPG's, they are action games. An RPG allows you to make choices that affect how a game will be played out. Diablo and D2 never gives you an option to do that thus they are action games.

INCORRECT...a role playing game can be as linear as any other game, no choices are necessary to make it an RPG...however, it is VERY difficult to define the fine line that separates this great genre from others....but Diablo and Diablo2 are RPG's.

Also, hands down, best RPG in any category, PC or console, would have to be Xenogears (PSX). I dont care what you guys say about Japanese blah blah blah, this games innovation and incredible plot makes it one of my top picks for a game for all time :D

Diablo 1 is a good Action RPG.

Diablo 2 was a horrible excuse for an action RPG. :upyours:

I have no idea what's so great about WoW. I have formed an aversion for all MMORPG's. But that's just me.

How about Faldon.. anyone here ever play it...

It was an RPG that used to be a free download..(still is I think)..

Then later you could buy a "citizen" account and have access to more features...

It is still running strong as I just researched it...
www.illusorystudios.com

I used to OWN in that game .. with some help of some friends...

I was able to scribe level 9 spells and a friend was able to scribe 10s so we had the market cornered and made lots of gold... when I left the game I had 200,000 gp (gold pieces) in 4 seperate accts..

If you played Faldon at all, post your name(s) .. maybe I remember you..

I was Asphyxius, Phyxius, and had access to Sinner, and Gerda..

I loved Diablo 2 LOD, found great fun in it, especially when they introduced the 1.10 patch.(still played by many)

(next best game, besides BF2) --- As of right now, I am patiently waiting for Guild Wars, I have played in all the open betas, and it just gets better every time. Guild Wars is made by the same crew that made D2, they started there own company(Arena.net)

Main reason I disliked LoD was because of how underpowered the Assassin and the Druid was, but I don't believe I played the 1.10 patch.

Also, if you liked D1 & D2, you might want to try Sacred or Divine Divinity.

Heh, have Sacred, and since to .10 patch, Assassins own, my son is playing now. Trappers can do over 10K damage now.

Edit: and the Druid, is now one of the strongest PvP in the Game, Hurricane Druid with Tornado, wearing an Enigma pretty much owns all else.
