Snapshotting

What is this?

Admins can snapshot any player in order to see if they are using 3rd party programs, i.e. hacks. When you are snapshotted it makes a copy on your computer as well as theirs, then you post yours and it will show if you are indeed hacking or not. Thats the dumbed down version of it, I'm sure others can elaborate as needed.

Of course it works, and no they did not invent it. It comes with pub admin plugins.

The only way it won't work is if someone has their toggle goggles on, and they snapshot them at the wrong time.

I wish the mod people or valve would come up with a way to make the player's ss automatically upload to the server when its taken.

Sadly anyone intent on hacking who has a bit of imagination and knowledge of cs could get round the ss thing.

If this is meant to lock the client from running console command, that in itself will cause you to be banned from our server as your snapshots won't work. If we snapshot you and your client doesn't snap, then that's the same as not submitting a snapshot.

and CNPS 1.1 is a serverside application that makes each client run certan console commands on the server.

All I gotta say Bonez is there is also ways for the server to override whatever commmands the client has in its console such as
cl_allowupload and cl_allowdownload can easily be changed by the server.
