We are noticing today that both the BF2 and SF servers are randomly kicking players out. It doesn't kick 1 or 2, but 30-50 at a time. Yet the server isn't crashing. It's happening to both BF2 and SF at the same moment in time leads us to believe it's either network related, punkbuster central, or EA's account servers.

We are investigating this further.

I was just kicked back to the account log-on screen due to an "error reading from punkbust server" or something along those lines.

that makes sense. Punkbuster master server had problems last week that was causing this problem. They said they had fixed it already. Apparently not.

Thanks for the update WiHAdmin

Hmm....Punkbuster issues on a long weekend (for most of us). I am starting to see a pattern.

After you joined, and we got it going good again. It struck 5PM CST....... = scheduled server restart . I thought the same thing, it crashed again. But, my friendly fellow admins pointed out what time it was :yaya:

WiHadmin would this explain this post that I posted, does any of this sound familar http://www.warishellgaming.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7602, I have never had problems and I know that I am doing nothing to cause a punkbuster message, Thanks

I have not seen that dos3age nor have I read anyone posting anything resembling that. I'll check with our server provider to see if they can update PB on the server side, just in case.

This has happend before.. Except it was 6-8 players

I think it was Drayu who fixed it

SF was really laggy tonight (it would come and go) and the maps took almost twice as long to load.

I heard from our provider. What's happening here is Gamespy decided to test something out with whole subnets at at time. Unfortunately, our provider's subnet was affected. That's why both the servers were dropping players today. I guess a lot of providers were affected as EA's official email list is full of complaints.

Thanks GaySpy! :upyours:

Would this be why I was getting weird PB message, also I would get kicked only while I was dead??

Its about 2am and am still having trouble with the server, I have played several others and been ok, I hope they get this fixed man I need some WiH action ASAP!!!
