Did you recently install SF? If so, reapply the patch.

i dont have sf just regular bf2

i got that message when i installed the SF patch, so i re-installed it and it was fixed

you cant install SF if you have the latest patch installed, it doesnt work and will give you an error everytime. BF2 then expansion then patch.
