Well, ok ~ I HATE norton and mcafee. Period. I have used them both over the years .. i guess i hate mcafee a little bit less. Maybe.
anyway, i am now using a multi layered system of ... well all kinds of stuff and it seems to be doing the trick.
I am running AVG freeware addition now and am happy, but i was recently introduced to the avast! AV software setup and it wasn't working on the system i saw it on, but i think that was totally the user ... i did some research and avast got grand reviews indeed. the thing is ... i don't trust just anyone ... so i figured come here where the forum is open and not sponsored by whomever.
so ~ what are your thoughts on 1) freeware antivirus and 2) $$ AV
