I am in need of a really good (fast) defragger. Any suggestions?
(HDDs) (showing free space), C: (No label) 22.9GB/465GB(4%), F: (Storage) 2.21GB/189GB(1%) (Local total)

i tried using Diskeeper it works quite well but my problem after using the version before v10 was complete failure to load BF2 it would join a game everytime and crash to desktop it wouldn't even allow me to uninstall the game... i had to revert back in time with system restore to fix it...
i now use O&O Defrag... but seems to take forever but does a good job...
i still wanna use diskeeper again it was easy

Last I heard the defragger built into Windows XP was quite good. I used Norton Speed Disk for quite some time, but switched to the version bundled with XP Pro and feel it does a bit better job.

Yeah.. I tried to use Norton Speed Disk for best BF2 and X3 drive placement, and it gave me the same problem. I just wiped the registry of bf2 entries, and deleted the program directory. A reinstall worked afterwards.
Guess your method was probably easier.. /me shrugs
Was hoping that there was a defragger that would not give me that whole "Need more disk space to run faster" when less than 7% free. Maybe there is something out there that would acutally do a faster job with a high amount of ram usage. Currently have 1.5 gig of ram installed.
Some may say that could lead to an issue where a power outage would kill off the data stored in the ram waiting to be written to the drive(s), but I have a ups so that is not a problem. Meh.. not overly familiar with the specifics of how defraggers function. Don't know if they copy data then delete the original on successful write, or acutally utilize ram.
