View Full Version : Problem with favorites

I added the WiH servers into my faves after the update, and logged off of steam. When I logged back on my faves was cleared again, along with my history of played servers. It does this every time I log off of steam. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

Okay, other people have this problem. That's one issue out of the way. Next one is, does anyone have any idea how to fix this matter??? :dunno:

Have you tried standing barefoot in a kiddie pool filled with Ice Tea while thowing bits of chewed up bubble gum at an empty coffee can sitting on a wooden block 15 ft away?? :dunno:

Sorry dude, no idea. Maybe they'll fix that when they fix the "Friends" functionality of STEAM :wallbash:

I'll save the rest of you the trouble... Groovy is

Here is what I do. This is largely because this is the only place I play CS:S. I have a link to the FF server and a link to the Public server right on my desktop.

If you don't mind an extra desktop icon, you can do it too. Make a short cut that points to the server itself like:

"D:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 240 -game "cstrike" +connect 70.84.26.252

Saves a little time and hassle.

It DID get pretty confusing during that brief period of re-direct, though  Heh heh.

Oddly enough, typing this into your web browser should also work.

steam: -applaunch 240 +connect 70.84.26.252

Groovy, when I do that it brings up Steam but won't launch Counterstrike, even when I change the link to include the

-game "cstrike"

command. It would be sweet if you could make a link to just launch CS:S and connect directly to War is Hell.

Dang, I'm lazy :)

They must have changed this. It worked a while back.

I'm SHOCKED! How dare you imply that Valve/Steam removed something that was both functional and useful?!

I'm calling their lawyers!

If you Right click on the Steam Icon by your clock and select servers, your favorites should be there. If you open steam up, poof their gone.
