My friend wants to play BF2 he went out and bought it. He brought it back and tried to instal it. Well he does install it and everything is working fine. He tries to load it up and it will go into a black screen just like it always does for me and instead of going into the game it will crash and go back to the desktop. He only at the Easy Info button and it said that he doesnt have enough memory. Required is 512 MB and he has 380 some. I dun understand cus he already has it fully installed and everything. What could he do to fix this problem.

Sorry to say, but your buddy needs to increase the ram to at least 512...IMO, if he can afford it, he should max out his ram since it is essential to running BF2. With only 512kb of Ram, the game will take forever to load, and he'll experience hard core lag when he first spawns...

He needs to buy more RAM. I'm not sure about pricing, but if he has the money he might as well update his pc to a full Gig of RAM as most games are now going to require a full Gig.

Which reminds me I have to call my cousin about updates to my machine.

he also needs a video card with at least 128MB. If he has only 64Mb, he will only see black screen after starting the game.

i dont know but i dont think it a ram issue cause i am fine at my 17 lcd first and then i put my computer to my 26 lcd its fine too... but after that i switch it back to the 17 lcd my computer start to have problem with the game. the game start and then load into a black screen but after about 5 seconds it go back to my desktop screen. so i have reinstall everything, fix problem but i have no idea what is going on and this sucks waste me a good half hour.

If its a lap top it is definately the graphics issue. I have tried the install on 3 all of witch had at least 1G of ram and they all failed to complete the launch.
