Special Force Kit Unlocks

Alright... after playing SF for the first time for about an hour, I disconnected to find that I have 3 available unlocks.

Have any of you guys used some of these new kits yet? If so, give me some feedback on what is worth the upgrade and what is not. I want to know what is the best kit to get right now, though I do have 3 unlocks, so I have room to tinker with a few.

Here are my options right now...
L85A1 - Medic
PKM - Support
F2000 - Assault
MP7 - Engineer
Scar-L - Special Ops

Right now, probably my favorite kits are the Special Ops and the Assault. I like Anti-Tank but I notice there wasn't another kit unlock. I've never gotten any of the Medic unlocks, but I notice I could get the G36c if I upgraded it twice.

F2000 is a must if you play Assault, lets you use a very powerful gun, noobtube, and comes with flashbangs for use in BF2.

I agree F2000 but I also like the scarL, this is just a personal favorite as I like playing spec. OPs alot. I don't think you can go wrong, all the weapon unlocks seem to be pretty easy in SF to unlock, probably another hour or 2 and you'll have the rest of the unlocks as well.

ive been shocked at the killing power of the mp7. its rate of fire is greater than any other gun in the game. so while each round is still not very powerfull, has been pretty easy to zip people up nicely. also, its the only non-shotgun alternative for engineer.

f2000 assault would be one.

and from your choices, the l85

Really depends on what you have unlocked already and what kits you like playing with. I unlocked all the kits so far except the Jackhammer and MP7. I didn't notice its rate of fire was so much faster but my FIRST IMPRESSION of it was that its performance respembled the MP5.
The NEW unlock I was the most impressed with so far is the medic G36.

The L85 is a piece of garbage in my opinion so the G36 was a very welcome newcomer to the medic kit.

The F2000 seemed pretty nice and its nice to have a flashbang to bring into original BF2. Its sort of like a less accurate yet equalily heavy hitting G3 with a 203 gernade launcher. It takes some finese to score hits with it consistently but I'm liking it so far.

Scar-L - Not sure what to make of it but so far I can't seem to find a reason to use it in place of my trusty G36c.

PKM can be very handy but frustrating sometimes. I always use it in place of the M249 and Chinese MG, but the RPK in my opinion is my favorite still.

Well, I would go with the G36c for the Medic, but I'll have to use 2 of my 3 unlocks on the medic(have no updates for medic).

I'm more than likely getting the F2000 for Assualt, but that leaves me with 2 other unlocks. I'm also leaning towards the MP7 for the Engineer, so that leaves me with 1 unlock. I might go ahead and bump up the Medic to the L85A1, but is it worth it when I could get a gun like the PKM or the Scar-L?

new medic gun is AWESOME!!! SUPER acurate and only takes 1 or 2 triple taps to kill someone.

I really like the new support gun mg36 - it's got a 3 round burst firing mode which seems much more accurate than any of the other support guns.

I think it's about as powerful as the PKM (maybe a little less) - plus it pulls out faster (hehe, I said pulls out :hump: ) . So switching from pistol/grenade/whatever to the mg36 seems much quicker than the other support guns.

Medic tier II upgrade is G36E, and it has single and 3 round burst. If you don't ever play medic, don't waste your 2 unlocks.

F2000 is good if you play assault, but I would recommend the MG36. Support is a good kit since you play squad leader all the time. If you are thinking about the PKM anyway, use 2 unlocks and get the PKM and MG36.

Haha... hm. I'm gonna get the F2000 for sure. I still have those two unlocks to use and I duno what! I'd hate to use two unlocks on one kit. I'll probably upgrade Engineer and Special Ops. Hmmm, ah well, I haven't gotten to play for a few days so hopefully I'll have some spare time soon.

Just felt like adding my Opinion about the new unlocks.

Spec ops/Scar-L= Godly Unlock. It's like an AK101 with a red dot site. I personly enjoy this gun, how ever the G36c will always have a place in my heart. :sniper:

Assult/F2000= This is a must have unlock, it's like a party in my pants when I use it. The Zome site alows great shot placement, it's about as powerful as an AK47 for what I can tell. It has a NOOB TUBE!! Woot!< It's nice having one handy to deal with buggies, Slow low Stupid Attack Choppers, yeah Who am I kidding.....*rolls eyes* and the flash bang is very handy for, well Blinding people.

Support/MG36= This gun is one fo my personal favorits. It's not as powerful as a PKM, it's more like an RPK.....An RPK that is faster firing, more accurate, and sexier. This is the only Support gun that you really can take people out with no need to go Prone and zoom in. :jester: and like the PKM their a pattern of tapping off rounds that alows shot placement that can rivel that of an AK101 or AK47.

Engi/MP7=is a hell of a weapon, I have dropped many a man with this deadly toll of chaos. This is a must have for any one that plays Engi alot.

Medic/G36E=Just right off I have to say that I HATE 3 SHOT BUST WITH BURNING PASTION!! BUT LOVE THE G36E..... This gun is a must have Weapon, Single shot is godly. I use the M16 on single shot and the G36E is like an M16 on Staroids. You can shoot a Flee off a pari Dogs nuts at 100 yards with this thing, and you can drop most enemies in 2/3 shots easly.


This are only my opinons and are bassed on my experiance with these weapons using my playing style. Results will very for other gamers.

JKRMAUI, you always make me laugh. :D The 3 round burst is the best feature of this weapon!!! Oh, and I got another one...if the G3 had a 3 round burst, it would be the best assault weapon in the game. No need for a noob tube when you get run over with my jeep. :nuts:

when i got sf, i played for several maps and then got out.........sure enough it gave me 4 unlocks. because i was all excited and not thinking straight, i just unlocked the first 4 in a row. this sux since i now dont want half of the unlocks i got. just thought i would throw that out so people may laugh and poke fun at me. :wallbash:

I believe I got the G3 unlock and the support gun but its weird because I didnt go for the f2000 but I got it is that part of the assault for that other team? because im confuzzled

confuzzled, thats what i was. you get the f2000 as the default assault weapon on navy seals team. it is not an unlock for sf. however, once you have unlocked the g3 for bf2, you will be able to unlock the f2000 as a tier 2 unlock for bf2. i hope that wasnt confuzzling

Offy don't get cocky with your GTA Jeep jihad, if I had a Dollar every time I blasted a buggy trying to pancake me with a Noob tube I would be welthy enough to Retire. As for the 3 round burst It doesn't grooove with my Spray and pray method of QBC combat. As for the G36E on single shot thats enother story. But as I siad this is my personal experiance with these weapons. RESULTS may be diffrent for others!!

The best time you killed me in a jeep was Daging Oilfields, you shot me in the face with an engineer basic shotgun. I got so pissed I left the server for 15 minutes. :mgpaperbag:

i dont understand why everyone cries about it. its a weapon like anything else in the game. everyone gets to use one, its not like its special. griping about rifle grenades is like saying, damn noob aks, or noob shotgun. it makes no sense. i guess the japs bitched in '45 about the noob atomic bombs.

noob tube, when used properly, only encompasses a specific use of teh grenade launcher, that being point blank shoot at my feet you die i dont "noob tuber"'s

in fact the GL takes a fair amount of skill to use at range against infantry, but when someone runs around a corner and shoots it at their own feet, suffering maybe 50% dmg while the other person die's... thats noobish, and not necessarily the persons fault, i do it sometimes myself.

the trick is EA needs to add a 10-15m primer like the GL has in real life, so it just doenst explode under that range. that would solve everything. most games have that, like AA

I should start a new thread, but if I did, it would look like some very old ones.
I use the phrase "noob tube" in an affectionate manner. The phrase originated from whiners I think. When I use the grenade launcher, I tell my squad mates I am going "tubin'."
Some person thinks they have skills, they are shooting well placed and timed rounds, then along comes some bunny hoping, frolicking fool, one shot kills the "expert." Now you get the chat flaming and all that crap.
I agree with you, it is a legitimate weapon and should be used in certain circumstances.

Alright, I unlocked the F2000 and I absolutely dominated. First place two straight maps and third place on another. I'm still confused on what to use on two of the maps. On the first map I played after starting up the game... the Scar-L was somehow my default Special Ops gun... I was having some awesome luck with it, I was doing a great job. The next map, it was gone and I never got to touch it again.

Is that MP-7 a fancy, powerful... accurate gun? I'm gonna probably get the Scar-L... mostly because it'll be a solid gun for squad leader. Then with the last unlock, I'll probably snag the MP-7. Damnit! I'm so confused.

Aight, well I'm bout to play and I'm gonna go ahead and unlock the Scar-L, leaving me with one more unlock I'm not gonna use. Will it be a safe bet to use it on the PKM? I don't think I have any of my Support badges(well I think I got one or two), but that's because I've never liked that default weapon. Or I could bump of the medic, which I have very few badges also... for the same reason, I don't like the default weapon.

I have All the unlcoks but the MP7 and G36E. I love them all for they all have their own neech in the battle field. It's not a matter of what weapons the best. It's what weapon maches your playing style the most. I Guess the only why to find the "best Unlock" for your self is to use all the weapons and find out. :jester:

Yeah Offy thats what I ment. But it takes roughly 4-5 rounds to kill a fully healed enemy. Single shot FTW. Trust me when I say that. How ever in combat it's mostly spray and pray. So you waste like 20 rounds hitting air. So in theory 2 Bursts shoud be enough to kill some on since it's 6 rounds but with movment and spreding of pattern many rounds miss. :crazy:

PS I'm gunna get the exact number of rounds taken to drop some one with each gun. I'll post the results. When I have the info.

Well, I'm bout to hop in... I unlocked that Scar-L the other day and I really enjoyed it also. I'm still torn between the L85 and the PKM... I only play as a squad leader and using either the Support or Medic kit makes perfect sense for helping the squad. I'm damn confused! Maybe by the time I decide to make a decsion, I'll get another unlock and I'll be good to go! ... Unless someone else has something to say. I know Rajun can hop on here and be all about the PKM but I dunno, I've just never, ever used the Support... nor the Medic!

Due what you think you can get the most use out of. Or can soport your squad. Medic is a solid choice but that PKM can raze some hell in the right hands :yaya:
