looks like this is the default behaviour for all servers.
I don't know why EA would have this be the default. I wonder if it has to do with some of the client verification issues bf2 was having. Maybe it is related to the red name glitch (switching each round allows the team arrays to be dumped and reset).
What I do know is that since i've installed bf2sf I have not recieved the dreaded 'unmodified content' error which I've spent weeks researching.
This team-changing is not all bad, in my opinion. I don't kick people from my squad - but sometimes a friend joins the server who wants on the squad. With the squads dispersing each round it sometimes makes it a bit easier to get on a squad with whom I wish.
But that's about the only good about it. I think there is probably more worse than good overall.
That's my opinion, and I'm posting it on the internet!

my 2 cents,
the squad dropping every round is enough to make me want to quit playing all together. the whole idea is squad based gaming (for me), the worst possible thing that could happen are the squads being broken up every map.
the sf expansion wont be what it could be until this stops. once you have great squads working together, the game play will be exponentially better. the way it is, people spend as much time as loners as they do on a squad.
this needs to stop quickly.
if this is default ea stuff, then they are showing their ass again. i hope its not WiH doing this by choice.

Team switching each round is a great debate. So many good points on each side. I would gladly swap sides each round if that made the red bug go away forever. :D
I think WiH #1 has reverted to no swapping but for the purposes of having a good debate I will indulge. Team swapping was nice before 1.03 because then each team had a chance to whore-hawk for a complete round. Also each team has a chance to experience the nuances of every map. Some people like trying different squad combos. The down side is of course, you have a squad, you like your squad and it has a custom name. Every round you have to create a new one and type the name, lock it and invite your buds. Sure there are some other down sides, but IMHO, the side swapping is generally good. :hump:

thanks for the link wihadmin
as for you offy :) i agree with all of your ups and downs listed. however, i disagree with your final analysis, i think overall it is more negative than positive. otherwise i do agree.

Man, it's not the team switching every round that I have a problem with, it's how the squads all get disbanded. I actually like the team switching aspect, let's me play both sides instead of the same side twice during the two rounds, but it sucks how it disbands the squads. Yep, that's just another oversight of the game developers.
