Hey, i haven't done demo's before and i'm getting an error when i try to watch one...

i make the demo, and then i go and double click on my demo and it gives me the error

gameinfo.txt doesn't exist in hl2

help :)

I think you are supposed to have counterstrike running. Then type Play Demo1 (or whatever the name is) and it should play.

the demo has to be in your cstrike directory then playdemo demoname and stopdemo when ur done i think look up HLTV for more info probably

Crank up CS and open Consul
Type in "playdemo" then a space and you will see a list of any demos you have made drop down then you can load and watch
Demo stops by itself when done.
have to type "STOP" only when your recording and want to stop
to record its the same deal type "record" space and what ever you want to name the demo ie: "record BashU1" then "STOP"

yea thanks guys, i was just tryin to get some 1337 demos to run, turns out they aren't source tough... you guys know of any sites with some cpl demos or anything? i really want to see an incredibly good player play =)

yea but its 1.6 go to www.sogamed.com look up u5 or tsg matches you'll see that one guy that was owning us til the server banned him last night =)

ps except the really new ones cuz he isnt in it anymore

1.6 just looks so bad... and the demo i watched at least.. wasnt' even first person... zzzzzzzzzzzzz

i did find some crazy demos, those are kind of cool to watch. The players are all so crazy cautious so the rounds take forever, and the second you see someone they are dead. So i guess it was just ok, not quite what i had hoped for =)

they weren't source thoug T_T
