ok, I reinstalled the patch and I can play SF now. first the server was full...after a while I got in it was fun. but after an hour more ppl left, until I was on my own....guys were are u?
the teamswitching was just anoying. every new round u get teamswitched and all the squads are gone
I don't know its my computer or the server, but I got LAG! I couldn't even walk normal...don't even talk about flying a chopper.
so is this because of the new server? and will it be fixed?

I experienced some of the same problems, and I am sure its not on my end, this being a new game, I imagine lots of kinks to work out. Though I was not to thrilled with the game overall, I think regular BF2 blows SF away, I like the unlocks and some of the maps, but I don't like the dark and the clutter of alot of the maps, especially the carrier map, I got alot of team kills once teh other team entered the carrier it was too hard to avoid the clutter of people running around so close to each other. Also alot of new people on WiH, and have been getting punished for Accidentals alot, which normally the regs. don't punish for accidents, but I guess once we all get used to it...... It will probably work out.

i think most of the new lag is due to SF itself. i think its a system hog and its lagging up our machines. i suggest you put your setting al on low.
i have everything amxed to low settings or off and i play fine ,well a little lag but as good as its gonna get.
the SF server was packed full when i went last night. great server as usual WIH thanks guys!

I think SF must be a hog also and it is laggy, I even turned down the graphics more to see if that helped and it didn't.
I hope the admin find out what is causing this switching back and forth and breaking up the squads. I played on other servers with the new patch and they run just fine.
BF 2 is way better than BF SF I think and I will spend more time on it than SF for the time being until they get things worked out.

i never have lag and probably the reason why ppeople where leaving was because it was too late and they went to bed or the lag that every1 experienced

I also get a ton of system lag. BF2 usually runs fine for me, but SF really slows my computer down. I turned down some settings, but it didn't really help.

I think it will be full all the time now the europeans got SF 2, so that would be solved....the lag is at his maximum at the map Iron gator....I just cant play that map, is it my computer or SF? does anyone has the same on that map, the others are laggy, but I can play.

I've noticed it as well. My ping is on average about 10ms higher (from 45 to 55) on the SF server than on BF2 WiH. I've also noticed that somewhere around 50 is the average for most players on the server. That however shouldn't be making that much of a noticable difference. I've heard alot of complaints on public forums about this issue. From the way we all seem to be describing the same thing is seems to be net code and engine instabilities. As someone else mentioned, this game is a total inefficient system hog. I had to bump up my overclock and readjust a bunch of settings to get this game playable where my computer should easily be able to play this game in a standard setup. Even after that there is still the net code issue where I see the enemy shoot at him watch him disappear on the run and reappear instantly 10 meters ahead of where he was. Never had that problem with BF2.

Yea, I've been messing with settings and probably gonna overclock my stuff soon (I had no real need to oc it before). I've also been looking into buying new hardware because I hate when I can't run a game smoothly at a graphics level I'm used to.

:sniper: unfortunately im still working on downlaoding the patch (which will probobly take another 2hours :wallbash: but if its running bad im glad its taking me a while  anyway... ive seen the normal BF2 server do that before (the switching of teams every round) and it lasted a couple weeks and then it changed back... as much as i like the WiH server we might have to play different servers for a little while.
