WTH with the flashbangs on BF2

like wtf man? my own team mates are flash banging everyone on their side, I got flashed 5 times in a row by my own side while trying to defend the train wreck in kirkland. twice by my own squad mate.

I really like this server, but this is not fun being flash by your own side because they have a "new toy" to show off.

yes I'm ticked off right now, I'll go crawl in my corner for a week or two, and maybe by that time this stupid foolishness will had worn off.

IS there a way to use it on the other team only, or does it effect both sides if you use it, I have not messed with it so I dont know, I know it is very bright.

I think the issue is intentional flash banging your own teammates. Nobody, or at least nobody with a brain, is gonna complain about incidental flash bangs. I ran into a dude the other night just flashing his teammates for fun. I threatened to pop out and get an admin and that was enough to get him off the server.

I am glad to hear that it's considered team damage as a rule so now we can get those idiots banned.

say....WHAT?!?!? flashbangs on kirkand?!? i thought the guns were the only thing that could be brought back from SF to regular BF2, but if you can bring the flashbangs, can you bring the grappling hook, tear gas, etc? i mean where does it end....no night vision i presume.
Some one explain to me what from SF can be used in regular BF2 now. because all the new gadgets lag me like there's no tomorrow...the NV, the flash bangs, the gas, it all likes me just as the concusion effect did. so if all the new toys are usable on reg BF2 that means i cant really enjoy that either for a few days till i get my early christmas present :wallbash:

Yeah that was surprising. The flashbang lasts too long. I was blinded for like 10 seconds. I thought my graphics card was screwing up. Flashbangs are going to invite a lot more bullsh*t from a$$hats.

heh below the min reqs. 512 mb of ddr sdram, geforce 5200 fx, amd athlon xp 3100+ 2.2 ghz.
i was just happy i could play reg BF2.

You CANT use Night vision, grappling hooks, ziplines, or tear gas in BF2. You CAN use flashbangs because it's part of the new assault weapon unlock which you can use in BF2! Nothing better than chucking a flashbang into a squad of guys and running in and seeing them scrambling and running into walls :rockon:

Is there any way to tell aside from actually seeing your own teammate throwing the flashbang if you've been flashed by your own team? I got flashed a bunch of times last night playing but I'm not sure if it was a teammate doing it or the enemy. I image it was a teammate considering every time it happened I lived through it.

it would be one thing if the other team did it, but when a squad does it to the leader, well, that sucks. and the bich of it al is this was the one time I was leader when we were keepng the usmc at bay from the bridge at the train wreck.

I think the BF2 community needs to put pressure on EA to create a filter so that theres a "Pure Mod" mode, (Like BF1942) so we dont have to deal with the lameness the SF people bring into WiH#1

I had a guy on the daqing oilfields who was using flashbangs to keep getting the helicopter and i think flashbangs are mostly being used on teammates.

Is there a way to not get flashbanged? I was playing with Groovey and nuts yesterday on the SF server, and I was tossing flashbangs, I told them to look away, but they still got blinded....I think that if you look away when at a distance you shouldn't be affected, it even affected me the thrower! What good is that!?

seriously the flashbangs are the best friend out there.

if you have a great squad and good voip, having someone throw a flashbang while the rest of the squad moves in is great,it can make all the difference in taking flags and especially on the essex.

yeah they suck when your teamates flashbang but whatever ya know gotta take the good with the bad. and i think the support aspect of the flashbang awesome and i love them.

I like to use them when I am running from a tank or apc, I will flash bang the driver and then haul my butt out of there!

just so everyone knows, you dont need to buy SF to get the unlocks, just go to a friends house that has it, log in and play a little, or have someone with sf log in and play a little with your account, you'll get prompted the next time you play, it just triggers something in your account, but i didnt buy SF for the unlocks, got it for the maps and diff gameplay.

I had one done the other day and my screen had gone real light.

They are nice if used right, so many people don't team work and that is why they are annoying.

Just think if everyone could hear you say FLASH GRENADE.......before you throw it. There would be more people trying to hide than run into it the area were you just thrown it. TS would be nice if people would use it.

but i do have TS and hardly anyone is there from bf2 that i squad up with .

love your squad cause its full of good people but i dont like being in it and not being able to communicate ya know. so when ever i play on the server ill be on the TS as well.see ya there!

I agree also that the weapons from SF shouldn't be able to cross over to BF. The converse is ok, but for people who can't afford or are not able to purchase SF for some reason, it makes the game a little lame.

wrong. everyone needs to stop crying for a second. the people intentionally using anything to screw teammates need to be kicked or banned,,,,regardless how they are doing it.

the new weapons are fun and so is flashbang. used right is very effective. everyone else needs to look away or be blinded. its not that bad on sf server, how can it be worse on non sf server.

most people are whining because they do not own sf yet or dont want to buy it. either way, quit whining and buy a copy....or dont and deal with it....or dont and dont deal with it.
