So I bought it on a whim today as I have grown completely bored with the other games I have. As it's only the 2nd MMO I've ever played I was looking for some help.

I think I've got the basics down but I need to find some info on crafting.

Any links or faq's you guys know of that could link would be greatly apreciated.

So are most pve or pvp here?

lol well, I'm on my 3rd today. Finally found a build i like. lvl 4 ranger/necro named Xx Hostyle. I'm done for tonight, time to go out. But I'll be on probably most of the day tomorrow.

Getting the hang of it now. Enjoying the game quite a bit. Hopefully it hold true thru the higher lvl's. I havent even touched pvp yet. I figured I'd wait till I was much more comfortable with the mechanics.

I got this game a little while ago but I've only played it once or twice due to BF2. I have to reinstall it but I'm interested in playing too.

Level 6 now. Still enjoying it quite a bit. I need to do some more reading into the crafting of armor and weapons. I have some slightly upgraded stuff now but I want GREAT gear not stuff everyone has.

As far as the guild goes, idk. I'd like to see your guys' capes and see how active you are. I plan on playing a decent amount of this in the comming weeks.

Got to at least get my 50 bones worth. :yaya:

I was playing for a few minutes earlier today, but I had to quit as I have a few short essays to write for Sociology and a research project due for my CRJ class tommorow, but if I finish early I'll be on around 10 or 11 tonite.

I play a bit also mostly on the weekends. I also have a lower/mid level character. I'm out around Yaks bend but will be glad to help you out.

Crafting is not what you think it is. you can make armor but it's the same as everyone else you can just dye it different colors. and as for weapons you find the good ones and customize it to add 20% more damage and add power-ups to it.

If you want great rare armor, then you want the fissure armor, which will run you 500K easily. there are different a sortments of armor, and different variations that people use. and like Leaky said, the armor is consistant throughout the game, but, you can die it, add a rune to it, the 15K armor is what I go for now, has a unique look, but no added bonuses, which I hope come out in the second chapter.

Are you still in PreAscalon? the early years?

MxO changed my outlook on MMO's. A little bit anyways. I loved that game. The beta sold me and I bought a 3 month card when the game came out. Only problem was the lack of higher level content.

Guild Wars, I'm getting in to. Mainly because it's humanish and not a bunch of fairy's, ogre's, and other lame crap running around. (read: I played in the wow beta and hated it)

Also the fact that it has no monthly fee.

Gorro, no I am now past the searing. Made level 9 yesterday with the help of someone on TS. I forget who you were bud but thx again for the help. He showed me some ins and outs of Ranger/Necro build. I can't wait to get into some pvp. The PVE is ok, but its no test of skill.... I can get 3 NPC henchmen and beat any Quest I've run across yet. Thats hardly a challange.

Starting to figure the armor/weapons/runes stuff out now. Not a big fan of the crafting. I wish they had made it a class of its own. That was one of the things I really enjoyed about Matrix Online. Getting good gear and learning how to craft more of it to sell to newbies.

I'll try to get into TS more when I'm playing, however I only have an hour or two a night during the week. I will be on quite a bit on the weekends though. And over the Holliday break (Thurs-Sun).

OK, here goes... That was Diecard that helped you... anyway: you can PvP at any level, in fact you can PvP at Ascalon go to the guard and enter the Arena, there is also an arena at Yaks bend, then Lions Arch, etc... I personally wanna get more GvG going... The missions do get harder, since they nerfed some spells etc, thunderhead keep is now harder... I just did a mission with my level 12 W/N last night in the shiverpeaks, and it was much harder than the first time around... and I didnt beat it :wallbash: I agree on the armor part, but meh, the continually introduce new stuff so, we shall see. Seeing you are level 9 and I am 12, I can wait up or help you catch up to me, and we can go through parts of the game etc.

Teamspeak Jimmy. We had 4 of us on tonight playing. They helped me out quite a bit. I went from lvl 9 to 11 just tonight.

I'll be on all this weekend. (starting tomorrow Weds. night) I've learned quite a bit in the last few days and would be more then willing to help you out. I'd even start a new character if none of the other guys are around just to be on a more even playing field with you.

If you look in this thread there are a few names you can add to your ingame friends list.

I'm planning on starting my lvl 5 Fighter/Monk over tommorow and starting anew if there isn't a way to quit a guild after you've joined. I unintentionally joined the guild that sent the invitation and there doesn't seem to be a quit guild button in any of the guild menus :wallbash:
