Ok, I've decided to pick up the scout since im getting bored with the ak/m4 lol. but i suck at scouting. so...any tips/tactics and anything else you scout pros can provide would be handy.
ps- please dont write "practice practice, and more practice" I've heard that a million times lol.
well since u said no saying practice and more practice i say watch people you see using the scout, other then that its kinda practice

Watch me on a good day :D
The key to scouting is, when ur facing off with another sniper.. NEVER stay in the same spot for more than one second. Calculate when to move around between seeing his muzzle flash.
I rarely crouch with the scout, and I always go for headshots or upper body shots at the least.

Listen to Filthy, i stopped crouching with it too. Im just now starting to become a menace with it too. You have to know the right places to use it, and the readjust when the time calls for it. Here is a real good example, Italy map as a T, scout the apartment, get your 2 kills there, CTS shake their fist at you then readjust and pick off CT's in the middle while moving. Its hard to explain, experience comes with using the gun. But you'll make folks mad thats for sure. They didnt nade and fight hand to hand through apartment only for you to put down your beer and blow them away from 300 yards.

yea, i've been using it for a while and feel i'm just now getting the hang of it. moving targets from far away aren't too hard, its when they start running at you that you have problems. best person to watch is grim scythe when he scouts, that man is amazing, hell almost god like with that gun. if u see him on and really want to improve, spec him for a few rounds when he scouts. it does wonders :D
:sniper:
Yes i have first hand expirence against grim and his scout, weve had many battles and as many times ive tried ive only been able to scout grim once hes good at the sniper vs sniper and just all around way to deadly with it.

Ok....maybe stupid. But I put a little dot on my screen where the guns crosshairs would be, when your not zoomed in.
Not that I am the scout whore or anything like that, but it helps.

I probably should start sniping again I was really good at sniping in the Batlefield games but then I came to CSS and stopped sniping. But your guys's advice is good. :jerkit: :hump: :sniper:

nah, it comes off pretty easily. Pain to read anything with a little blue dot in the middle of the screen. But in-game it helps ALOT when using the scout unzoomed.
I don't think I fire the scout unzoomed ever. I either run around with it zoomed in or with my pistol out. I am much more comfortable with my odds of living with a pistol vs. an unzoomed scout.

Yeah, same here. Scout and a deagle for me.
I've been working on my scout skills this week too. I'm getting better, but I'd like to improve more. I went to a server yesterday where the only snipers that people used were awps and auto. Since AWPs are powerful and don't give you much reaction time, it helped me improve my reaction time with the scout and helped me learn better techniques.
I did kill quite a few awp'ers which was pretty funny.
I know what you mean Bauer. There's a few servers I go to with the awp available and auto-snipers aren't, or auto-snipers are and awps aren't. It's a good time when you're facing off against someone with an awp and all you have is a scout. Usually after you hit them once and they're alive and they miss you they get nervous. It's equal ground after that because 2 scout hits kill. I couldn't imagine how pissed they are when they die with an expensive awp from fire from a scout. I've done it quite a few times though.

i know one of the things that helps me is scoutzknivez. that map really teaches you how to run around with a scout zoomed and hit people.
it is very amusing killing awper's with a scout cause then they're really pissed off afterwards :D
Scoutsknivez. Good call. That'll really teach you the ropes of scouting. I think it's a common fact that if you can out-snipe another sniper, anyone else without a sniper rifle will be fairly easy to kill afterward.
