We need a Pistols and Knives only Tuesday night (or some other night), with WiH members. I think it would be hilarious and it would help some of the community members who are working on the badges.

I think we cant do that, if I recall, some servers were doing that, and it puts out a yellow flag for stat padding or something of the such if I recall properly, though it would be a fun idea.

uhm, that sucks. would be fun though. I don't see the point, if we just only use our knifes and pistols...wat's the problem with that.

You can't get in trouble if the server doesn't call for it. It is totally up to the players what they choose to fight with. You would have to get community members to be ready to play and fill up the slots. It would make for some interesting video shots :yaya: .

EA have asked players to report servers that play these kinds of games. It is considered to be stats padding.

That's why I said that the server stay out of it and the player choose to go pistols and knives only.

I'm actually getting pretty good with the knife and pistol and I'm working on a strategy guide for knife and pistol fighting, just give me some time to get some more solid strategies. All I can say now is for knife kills stealth is of the essence and you have to manage to sneak up on the target or hope their aim is terrible. The easiest map to get the knives badge is the Gulf of Oman along the beach.

The easist maps for me atleast for the pistol combat badge is Karkand, the knife badge is mashtuur city when the enemy holds the mosque you can get on the roof and knife all the snipers and others up there.

maybe if you shoot yourself in the foot multiple times in a row you can get the pistol badge.

in any case, a knife and pistol night would be more funny than fun i think. pistol and knife pwning are most fun when you get a guy(s) that have you outgunned. just an opinion

5 is for basic pistol

i havent checked since last patch, it used to be 7 for the basic on both. then they changed all the values. i havent looked since then.

I just looked at BF2s and it is 5 kills with pistol and 7 with knife in a round. I didn't know this had changed since the patch.

Veteran is 7 with either in a round and 50 global.

Might have to work on the veteran pistol then.

I am sure there are non ranked servers out there that do this... I remember playing 42 with a bunch of guys and it was knives only, it was hilarious... BUT got stupid fast!!! Addin Pistols and I could see that.
