I post this bacuse I realize I am whacked in the head!!! As in I like items, and I like to collect ALL OF THEM!!! Back in My D2 days, I would work to get items, and would horde them. I am doing the same thing now in Guild Wars, always wants bigger and better, but cant let go of the old faithful's that got me there. Like for ex. green items have been out for say a few months, I already have 16 of THEM!!! Cripes if I sold them all off, I would have around 340Plat. Now in WoW, I havent found great items, are they there???or are items not as popular??? I mean that is why I stayed addicted to DIablo for so long, plus I loved to PvP, but I was good at it, and am getting there with Guild Wars. bah... shoot me now... :wallbash: and now that I have acquired some of the best armor in GW, it is a status symbol. I guess I need to know are there great items in WoW??? Then I can find a reason to play, to feed my addiction :D

Yes there are great items in WoW too, and I know what you mean in d2 I was like that too. Think of WoW as d2 on drugs, there were like 300 uniques + runewords in d2, there are thousands of epic + rares in WoW and people haven't even gotten them all yet, so yea theres plenty for you there Gorro.

Most of the really good items in WoW tend to drop most frequently into Molten Core and other high level instances.

You do always get the occasional "wtf that's cool" drop from farming mobs and such in the regular zones though.

Blue items start around level 15 in terms of world drops, purple items start around level 35 for world drops. Blue item boss/instance drops start at 18 and purples at 60. Orange items are incredibly hard to obtain and are not dropped so much as quested for by getting certain very rare drops and a crap ton of rare expensive crafting items.

Right, oranges are "artifact" quality or something to that effect and are incredibly power, but are usually only obtained through doing epic quests. Still it has the diablo feel with the vast amount of items to collect, and use. In case you are wondering the classification they have are:
Gray- vendor trash sell it
White- Normal quality use it at the beginning when you have nothing else
Green- Uncommon, its basically the magic items of WoW, like blue items were in diablo, there are a ton of them.
Blue- Superior or Rare- Here is where you can start to see some nicer stuff
Purple- The epics, the really good stuff, although they are like the uniques of diablo, they don't randomly drop, usually you gotta go to high end instances to get them.

Oranges are legendary and i have only ever seen 1 drop from Baron geddon of MC. I missed the Legendary drop from Ragnaros. These have an EXTREMELY low droprate!
