Can't we all get along without those BUNNIES on the field. We all do it, but it would be NICE if they could get that FIXED.
I think this started with CS *Counter Strike* and in DOD *Day of Defeat* they really fixed the stemina, so you could not hop around 50 miles.
Nothing like two guys trying to kill each other, jumping around like they just got shot in the REAR with a bullet.
I mean come on, when was the last time you turned on the news and saw 2 soldiers jumping around trying to kill each other like that? Maybe ducking and diving and a lone jump over the wall or in a building.

Nothing Frustrated Me More. I'll Walk Up And Pop Someone With A Few Bullets Before They Have Time To Counter. Then With Maybe One Bar Of Life Left, They Frantically Hop Around And End Up Making The Kill On You.
Goodness, frustrates me to no end.
P.S. ... sorry about caps, im learning to make my text not look as proper and neat.

A small tick of a pause ala Counter Strike or BF42 would be just enough. I like being able to hop away when I'm caught reloading or out in the open with armor approaching. But some people are rediculous.

How do they do the prone jumping?

Haven't we already established that this is personal preference in another thread. Actually I think that thread got hijacked into a B-hopper discussion.
Fine...I think if it is a part of the game right now, then you might as well hop if need be, until EA/Dyce fixes it
I don't want to get into the fine details of what is possible in real life compared to the game. I hop like mad when someone gets the jump on me and they start shooting but I can't see them. I jump like a crazy bunny on meth until I find cover or I die. Not something that I use to shoot back because, believe it or not, my accuracy is decreased. If everything works like it should though, my squad mates will see me getting shot and take down the enemy for me. :mp5:

i do it when i am about to die or i am reloading but its is really hard to kill ppl when they are hopping around...

i do it. when i have my grenade launcher out and i get caught with my pants down cause i think the enemy is in a specific area where they arent or something then i some times resort to this. i've pretty much given up the assault class because it got boring. the reason i dont feel so bad about doing it in SOME situations is that there is no previous weapon button as in counter strike where if you have a nade in hand and some one pops out in front of you, you can hit q and get out the gun you had designated as your previous weapon. because i am not use to hitting the numbers to change to my previous weapon (i dont think i've done that since doom or duke nukem), i often panic when i get caught with the wrong weapon and if i DO try to switch with the numbers some times ill hit the wrong one or some thing goes wrong

How do they do the prone jumping?
You simply do this:
Jump, at the peak of your jump hit prone and it will send you crashing back to the ground into the prone position, then jump once to stand, and jump again to get airborne and then at the peak hit prone again to repeat.
So, jump/prone/jump/jump/prone/jump/jump/prone.
I use this a LOT when I'm being shot at, especially when crossing busy streets. I'd guess that about 75% of the players out there don't have either A) Computers fast enough, or B) The skill to hit someone who is doing this. Also, because you're counted as being prone even if still airborne/falling... you're accuracy counts as if being prone so you're still doing good accurate damage.
As for the argument about whether it is okay or not... bugger off. Its in the game and will probably never be taken out. BF2 is not a combat simulator, it is a first person shooter which vaguely similar to real world concepts. Remember that when you bitch about things like bhopping but then dive onto your buddies body shock paddling his bullet wounds.
Duh.

Multiplex, that is a great technique w/ the prone/jump/prone stuff. I will have to try that later. I'm sure it will piss someone off, but what the hell.
:dgrin:
Thanks!

I do it...I agree it needs to have a limit or something on it though.

Cant stand it myself, Not that I cant do it but I think it takes away from the game as I see there is some realism to BF2, the bunny moves are not even close. anyone who would tryo to do this in a real world situation would find themselves out of breath as a combat senario is tough enough...
Iknow I was there. Desert Storm, Sheild.
Anyway I'll play the game the way it was but I think it could be improved a bit.
No arguments from me on this matter, I just felt educated enough to make my opinion Known.

Calm down dude, you about to pop a vessel. I just think it would be nice to fix the hopping all the time and let you tire out some. Just a simple remark. :hehehe:

Multiplex, calm down dude, you about to pop a vessel. I just asked a simple question and would like to see people tire easier than they do now.
If you have the need to do it, the game will still allow it. :hehehe:

i remember the abuse of bhopping in CS and it took FOREVER for them to patch it out...
don't you think they'd be able to make jumping reduce your stamina more, reducing your ability to jump multiple times? seems simple...
i've personally only done it once, while i was sneaking up on an assault class with my knife, he turned around, scared the crap outta me, and i guess by animal instinct frantically pushed the space bar, hehe.

I wasn't even remotely close to being upset. I was simplying stating that BF2 isn't a realistic game... Maybe you need to calm down.

No no... they had shock paddles that could heal bullet wounds in Desert Storm as well.

I don't know what you guys are talking about.. the bunnyhopping and prone jump are very advanced military techniques. Only the best of the best know how to do it in real life.. The government has trained ninja soldiers who can flex their chest muscles so hard they pop right off the ground. They also have very strong leg muscles.. so they can jump like rabbits as long as they need to. Why else do you think EA put it in the game?
:hehehe: :hehehe: :hehehe:

All it would require is to make a minumal amount of stamina required to jump. as it is right now jumping takes like 5 bars from your endurance, sooo they should make it so you CAN'T jump unless you have at least 5 bars of endurnace.

I think they need to add rocket jumping... bleheh. Quake > All

I haven't tryed the jump-prone-jump-jump-prone etc. thingy yet, but that's gonna change. but I prefer the sprint-jump-prone and then land a centimeter in front of ur enemy and blast ur rounds from ur PKM in their body:P its very affective, the first they think is wat the hell, and when they are death they realice they had to shoot. this is the best way the pkm has to be used, becouse it damages a lot, the only problem is it isn't accurate enough, but from up close :yaya:

Trinitron that was pure comedy. That ranks right up there with Multiplex's wooden helicopter on the paintball field with dudes wrenching in the back.
You had me laughing very loud at 4am.
Yea lord knows part of my platoons medic kit is instant heal packs and shock paddles. We also have the fix all mechanic with his binford wrench. And our SAW gunners all carry unlimited ammo and grenades and mines. They are walking ammo supply points.
I have nothing against the hoppers really. You can kill them. Shoot em in the air like a duck. The Bunny hopping Noobinators are tough to kill.
Although I do admit I point blank tubed Big-MC and Rajun as a last ditch move. I noob tubed myself in it also. Jihad style Allahu Ackbar

:sniper: though i consider it anoying when facing an enemy doing it i admit it has saved my sorry behind in deperate situations and i also admit to jumping over a wall into the prone position to hide but at least im not running at my enemy while hes shooting at me... plus im a bullet magnet... with my luck he'd hit me in mid air :wallbash:
