Knights of the Old Republic 2 which was apparently just released. Sorry, It isnt very often a good Star Wars game comes out. Ill try and wrap it up as quickly as possible.

Jeff's notes!

* I could never solve the trial in the first game. Dont ever hire for me as a lawyer.

* I thought the first game was better then Episodes I, II, and VI as far as story was concerned.

* I couldnt finish the first game do to getting my ass kicked at the end even with 3 duel wielding Jedis.

* I was surprised at the twist 2/3d's of the way through and thought it was as good as "Luke...I am your father."

Matter of fact I think Im going to have to run through the first game again before I do this one. Is it just me, or when you all play these types of games do you generally try to be the hero rather then the villain?

Actually when i played through the first one and the second I started as evil. It's just too much fun for me to threaten peoples lives and kill someone on a whim. Oh and I definatley agree that the story in the first KOTOR is a WHOLE LOT better than the newer Episodes.

i was avoiding the stores and websites i want this game so much but do not need further distractions right now. i will have to use the force to resist the temptation.

as far as the first game i played through the first time and was as light as possible at the end. I enjoyed this game so much i played through it a second time(VERY rare for me) only the second time through i was an evil bastard killing slashing shooting assasinating everyone and every thing. and enjoyed it as much as being good, maybe more since some of the dark powers are so cool.
:hehehe:

I still got to finish the game. I got pretty far in it for the Xbox and then I lost interest in it. Probably because I hated how Dark Side players looked.

Meh... looks more like an expansion pack... looks like the exact same graphics (I know graphics aren't everything) and it just looks like nothing new.

Maybe when I find it in the bargain bin.

Actually some things have changed in the mechanics of the game. But you are right Graphics don't make a game. (*cough*Doom 3:upyours: *cough*)

Only thing I liked about Doom 3 was the multiplayer. Which is why I'm looking forward to Quake IV.

doom 3 sucked raw ass. the lighting was complete crap. i can have a gun that shoots a fricking pulse charge but the genius that invented that could not incorporate a flashlight? :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: stopped playing doom3 long ago

There was a mod that allowed you to have the flashlight attached to all your weapons. But other than that the single player part of Doom 3 was a let down for me. I guess I'll always have my original Doom memories.

Doom3's graphics were really intense, but the gameplay bored me about half way through.

As for KOTOR2... what's the combat like? I heard it's turnbased, which turns me off considerably.

i just started kotor 1 again, seeing as how i cant afford 2 yet, but can you give a nice review for it so i can finalize my decision to get it?

and doom 3 sucked, sure i got it free (?) and sure it beat the crap out of my poor laptop and its 64mb graphics card, but lets face it, its true downfall was its lack of similarity to the originals...

Ok prowler, you asked for a review, heres my thoughts. I have finished both of the games on XBOX. If you liked the first one, you'll like the second one. Gameplay itself is almost identical with just a few additions that help it. Story for the second one is good, I just think the story for the first KotoR was better. The additions of prestige classes was nice, but my complaint with that was this: I was a light side guardian/battle master. After getting a couple levels in BM the game became very easy. The sidekick ppl became useless. Lost alot of the challenge, but I still finished.

If you liked the first one, buy it. If not, skip it.

oh, and I thought Doom 3 was quite good played through for the first time. However, I dont think I'll be replaying it..just doesn't sound fun to play over and over. Thats where the originals were better.
