Don't know how anyone else feels bout it but I think the SB has gotten exponentially worse every year (With the exception of the 2.3 second booby flash from last year). This year I was physically unable to tolerate the constant marketing bombardment that is now the Super Bowl. The game itself wasn't bad but it seemed like a commercial break every play.
My thoughts,

Have to disagree with that one. I thought the halftime show was BORING. It sucked about as bad as the Simpson's did after the SuperBowl.
Liked some of the commercials though. :D

Krunk, you didn't even watch the game did you???? The game was great if you like defense and hard tackling with a kick of offense to spark the game, which is what football is all about. In my mind you couldn't ask for a more entertaining game. Games that are blowouts are no fun. The corporate sponsership and such is part of the SB and always has been. It's the most watched televised event in the world....of course its prime opportunity for companies to get thier message and product recognized. Always has been and always will be...I just learn to pop open a beer and accept it and laugh at the commercials when funny (which weren't very funny this year). Halftime show was good if you are in your mid 30-s to 60-s, or have an appreciation for the beatles, as I do. The pregrame concert was just annoying with 5 different acts up there signing together, couldn't tell who was what, and what they were singing.
That's all folks

No I couldn't watch the game it was too painful. I tried to pop open a beer and watch it like I had for years but with the awesome score of 0-0 for the longest time I came to the conclusion that watching the ending credits for Catwoman was more exciting.
It was an "OK" game the last quarter but the rest of it blew. Both teams were playing so cautiosly that there was no suspense between commercials or I mean plays.

okay, no... the most watched television event in the world is the World Cup. had to point that out as i'm a rabid football (soccer) fan.
overall i personally thought it was a waste of time. the game was ho-hum, good defensively and the ad spots too numerous... which usually isn't so noticeable but this year the ads weren't anywhere up to par like the last few years. and what is with play ads that have been out for the last month or so? at $2mil a pop usually the ads are all new.
okay... just my two cents.
