This isnt really my guide cuz i found it, lol

8 Ways to Improve your rush!

1. DO NOT STOP! There is nothing more important than the act of not stopping! They don't call it a rush because you stop, and if you stop in front then you hold the whole team back. This is bad.

2. Be Confident. Only the strong survive...right? Confidence is a mental strength that will help your aim, maneuverability, concentration and more!

3. Use HE Grenades! Lets say you rush into a bomb site with 5 team members and lets say there are 5 enemies guarding it. All of your teams health added together should be 500 and all of the enemies health should add up to 500. If 3 of your 5 team members throw HE Grenades then it is likely that you enemies added up health will be down to 400-450. What's Stronger 500 or 450? Your team will most likely win the battle.

4. Run Faster! If you run with a knife or a grenade you will be able to run at a higher speed. If you run at a higher speed you get there faster.

5. Buy Faster! The buy menu is like a tortoise compared to buy aliases! Use aliases to buy your weapons! Download my config for some buy aliases but watch out...my config has built in charity.

6. Use Suppressive Fire! Go in shooting! You may even want to start shooting before you get there to insure an intimidated enemy.

7. Make A Plan! If your team doesn't have a plan then they don't have a rush! Talk with the dead before a new round and fill in the players that miss the plan when you start the next round. I go to my console and do something like:
bind f5 "say_team RUSH BOMB A"
When the new round starts I hit f5 a few times to get the message across,

8. I Repeat DO NOT STOP! Not in a hallway; not in a doorway; not to wait for the slow players; not to reload because you wasted your ammo; not to give someone else the bomb; not to bust out you Arctic Warfare Magnum; and especially not to get there faster. ~~~Author Unknown

Some adendums to things I have found to be important for a good rush.

1. Make sure the team is pretty close together. but not right on top of each other. If you're too close you are nade fodder. If you spread out too much or don't wait for your team to be with you, you mights as well line up and let them kill you one by one.


2. Have a small rear gaurd. 1 - 2 people, depending on team size, should watch your back and run interfereance so the other team doesn't rush around the back. This is especially important on Maps like Dust and Aztec where the enemy can be behind you in seconds.

3. Never rush pistols against rifles. Really bad idea to rush with duelies and Deagles against M4s, paras, and scouts...

I sorta dont agreew with tnt's point 6, about suppressing fire as you rush. especially when u ahve a pistol or shotty, u wanna get up there while dodging and make the enemy deplete their ammo. by keeping ammo waste to a minimum, u'll hvae a full clip to waste them :hehehe:

well the only real way to get an accurate shot is by standing still or better yet crouching, but when players do this they often delay/discourage the rush. So running out shooting you pretty much have just as much a chance of hitting the enemy as waiting to see em...sometimes.

The person who wrote TNT's guide clearly plays on a NON-friendly fire server.
