Noooo!! The new update totally screwed up CSS for me!

I downloaded the new update and now I find that I can't even run CSS let alone attempt to get on to a server. It stalls at the CSS start up screen so badly that I have to do a restart.

Does anyone have any suggestions for potential remedies for this? I would greatly appreciate any possible advice, otherwise it looks like i'll be reinstalling HL2.

i can get on, but i just lag like mad and it is unplayable. and i turned OFF the new lighting.

I would kill just to see how crappy the new lighting update is! What makes matters worse is that my last game on here I was drunk as could be and now i'm ranked so bad that I would be ranked higher if I just didn't play!!!!

I can connect but the frames are so bad that it is unplayable. Everytime I go over a model it just gets all sluggish. F'in valve and there stupid new update :upyours: .

I connected fine but server keeps restarting :dunno: and I didn't notice any lighting change...

The server is crashing thats why you get disconnected. So looks like there will have to be a patch to fix the patch.

it's like you cant turn off the shitty lighting. i turned EVERYTHING on low even though i dont run it like that to see if it would help, but it doesnt, it just looks REALLY bad AND lags like the japanese with their adoption of U.S. fads.

When I joined the server I lag REALLY bad, I think it is probably client side. They go away after a minute or three.

The server crashes have been fixed though, at least ours. THE OWNERS ROCK :rockon: :rockon: :rockon:

I went and tried this and it seemed to fix the lag that I was experiencing, so this should fix the lag at least.

CrockD I also get the start-up screen lag to reboot. :(
