I am looking for a good sound card and not sure what i want to spend my money on. I have a creative inspire P5800 5.1 so i dont want to get the BEST sound card out there just enough that i can use what i have besides the onboard sound that i have been useing (i hear there is a huge difference in quallity from onboard to getting a desent sound card) Any help would be great guys/gals.
P.S. looking at spending around 100 - 150ish.

Stick with the Creative....
I have the Audigy2 Gamer in my PC and the Audigy2 ZX PCMCIA card for my laptop....
Love them.....I don;t think anyone makes a better sound card...IMHO

Yeah...I have the audigy 2 gamer and 5.1 headphones and my k:d ratio has much improved as I can hear footsteps in front and behind...people will even accuse me of hacking b/c on some maps I can hear when peeps are getting hosties, opening doors, breaking glass etc. and I call it out. It really does make a difference...and I have yet to be knifed since I got them
