GW: Guild situation

i know its been rehashed over and over (and i know many people's feelings on the subject), but i think that we really need to reorganize all of the "active" players (i.e. those that don't have WoW, or at least log more hours on GW than WoW) into a singular guild that we can all call home. i know madscout has a guild that he created and heads, and prowler has started a guild (one that i have joined now) that will be more active than EX ever was PvP wise (or in total for that matter). i know i'm more partial to PGP (new guild), but i'm more than willing to join a unified guild no matter what its called or what the cape is. as long as the leader is active (of which prowler and mad both are), i think we'll be fine. those of you wishing to stay in EX, thats fine, but i can assure you PGP will be involved in PvP action.

i'll put up a poll and see what kind of responses i get.

no that this has to be wher those of you looking for a new has to go but my clan is called Knights of the Revolution (seemed appropriate at the time). We already have a cape that was decided on by the members at the time but we'd be willing to rehash it if people want. Currently, our member ship is rather small. Its me Res Judicata, Pheonix, and Nsane. lol. I'm interested in seeing what those of you who want a new guild think or what direction you want to head in.

well, PGP currently has me, vryllyn, apoc, vash, prowler, and prowler's roomate. i really don't care which guild we are in, as long as we are all in it. together that makes 10 of us (KoR + PGP). any other ppl that have voted but not voiced their opinions will be include once i know who they are.

im all for it, and id hate to be really stubborn, but im staying with my guild no matter what, even though i have accelerated past him, my roomate (and best friend mind you) got this game to play together and on our terms, we would love to play pvp and will eventually do so. I would love to have people that i know watching our backs when pvp and gvg time rolls around. But if you all want to jump ship, dont expect me to come along. No offense at all, but my loyalty lies with our guild.

No offense Prowler but it sounds a lot like what happened when Monos started his new thing and made decisions for everyone and in my opinion that is why the guild failed (although I know he was doing it because he felt it would never happen if he didn't just make decisions because people were so indecisive.)

Here is my stance. I would be willing to scrap my guild if you guys were willing to start a new guild with us that would actually be a representation of everyone that played in it. Right now, it seems, what your saying is that you want a unified guild but are not really willing to meet halfway and expect everyone to join under the PNP/PGP persona. If thats the way it's going to go down, count me out.

No offense Prowler, I enjoy playing and helping out with all of you "new" guys or what I consider to be "re-new" guys that are starting the game over again. I would love to be in one guild with all those who are actively playing. I guess I am of the opinion that if we are really going to make it happen we should start a new guild and leave PGP and KR behind. Vote on a guild leader, vote on a name, vote on a cape, vote on a hall. A guild for the players by the players.

In other words, I am not going to join a dictatorship. :thumbsup:

wow, yeah, i kinda take offense to that considering what i started is hardly a dictatorship. In essence since ill be running it like i run my clan your calling my clan a dictatorship. However id like to remind you that we dont have a charter which has exact specifications to be a member of the group. I personally shun that. However, like i said, my roomate and i spent at least two days designing that cape and i am not about to scrap it as that would be extremely offensive to him. Out of respect to my BEST friend in the world that has stuck by me through thick and thin, i will remain in our guild and stick with my cape. So join or not, leave or stay, regardless we will still be there. Even if this means I am reduced down to us two, there are always options. so if thats your decision then enjoy the game, maybe ill see you around. And maybe before you start calling me the leader of a dictatorship, you should look in the mirror. Anyway, thats the last from me in this thread, thanks for the flame :thumbsup:

This statement, in combination with the, "I will not change the name, guild cape, etc." attitude, pretty much means you're making all the decisions. What would you call it when one person makes all the decisions? If you're actually interested in the community getting involved, I think that it is necessary to solicite everyone's opinion when making decisions like this. If you're not willing to do that it's your perogotive. I really wouldn't even care if you were guild leader but I think it would be great if we could meet in the middle somewhere.

A sincere apology for the tone of the previous message. I suppose your previous post just seemed to have the tone of, "Either fall into line under my command or go do your own thing." I guess I just feel like if we are interested in making a guild for the WiH community as this string is asking, then the community should decide how we proceed. I don't think that is an unreasonable or offensive concept. :dunno:

Well, in any case, after this melee of messages between the two current guild leaders, I imagine things will continue as they have been. Oh well.

oh well indeed, frankly i didnt like your tone, and i still dont like your tone. So since everyone in the community thinks im the "bad guy" now, dont join! everyone in this community knows that i am a team player. everyone knows that i can take orders as well as give them. so ya know what, im fine with occassional seeing you on TS and maybe doing a mission together, but to be quite honest, i really dont think a combined guild will work. Wanna know why, because of this. i dont buy a game for $50, i dont want to do something i dont want to do. I love this game, and i refuse to let you ruin the fun for me and my roomate. as i said before, join or dont. i really dont care.

First, I would like to apologize to Prowler for anything that I said that offended him. Secondly, I respect his decision to stay in his own clan with his best friend. However, if we are going to make a unified clan for the active members of this community, I believe we should start fresh for those of us who are willing to do so. I will gladly disban my clan if enough people post here and show interest in doing that. Until that happens, I will stay in Knights of the Revelolution.

Until then, if any of you are interested in a guild that has active and experienced members and have people in it who are already doing PvP, I would be happy to send you an invite. We have a cape but are willing to change it by vote if enough members get sick of the current one. We have no guild hall but I am about half way there to saving up for one.

Other than that, I will save everyone a head ache and will no longer be posting in any thread that even comes close to the topic of guilds, capes, halls, guild names, etc. You all know my opinion. :ban_dance01:

i'm glad that for whatever reason i did not see this post as it was happening. Mad it seems like you have real issues with authority anyone that comes to a decision that is not the same as yours no matter how many people agree with it is in your book a dictator. i have up to now avoided posting anything relating to the breaking up of any guilds. the only decsion that i made was to actually start a guild. so everyone did not like the name, ok well there was quite a bit of discussion concerning the name. so i did create the guild and invited people to join and that is where it ended, this was no different that the way In Exile was started, except that with In Exile there was no input as far as the name was concerned that never bothered me and as far i can tell it never bothered you, so maybe it is just me you have a problem with? why because i created a new guild and named it? this whole ordeal has led me away from GW and into WoW. i am so done with GW and all of the drama surrounding it.

That is too bad, I am still having a boat load of fun in it! And am havinga tough time getting into WoW(it just seems to take to long to quest) and I die alot :( anyway, if you saw my post, I left In Exile, tired of it, no one is ever on. I joined as a Guest on another guild, did 1 GvG, and they asked me to be an officer :thumbsup: but, not sure what I am going to do. You all should come back for the new quests! some hard, but damn fun!
